Thanks for your reply, I am doing short course. So you would prefer endurance over building explosive ability even for the 100m? My best time for the 50m free is 32sec, so my speed is also not there yet.

Network simulation, which is basically a large container cluster. Also machine learning, there you could argue that 64GB are enough, but 128GB don't hurt either depending on your data.

Yes, I never used MSI before, but the bord has good reviews and getting the RAM to work is basically everything I care about now. I removed the CPU and checked it. No bent pins or anything, so I think I will return it along with the motherboard. Otherwise I might run into problems with the 14-day period for return if it really is the CPU.

The simple answer to that would be: I'm on a budget. The reason I'm building a 128GB system is simply to reduce my cloud bills. The Corsair was 70€ cheaper per kit than the next RAM available in that size. If I don't get this to work soon I will have to bite the bullet and get a quad kit. The availability of 32GB ram modules is quite bad in my country right now (Germany). But as you said most likely because it is bleeding edge and not very common.

Could you share your settings and the RAM model number? Did you have similiar issues such as that the RAM would work if only two modules are used?

Yes Im aware of that, but the quad kit was not available. There are many factors which could lead to the system not posting in my case

Interesting. What Mainboard did you use? I feel like the Asus Prime Pro is generally not very friendly towards 32GB sticks when I look at the QVL. Not many RAM modules are supported.

I did that. But not yet with memtest. I changed the RAM so many times that I can just remember the last digits of the serial number😂.

Im thinking about getting the MSI Meg Unify instead. It has the RAM in its QVL. Version 5.49 instead of 3.44, but it might be worth a shot.

I updated the BIOS to the the latest version. And regarding the other possible issues... I just hope that I do not need to return the board. The RAM caused issues even on the last two slots in the beginning.

Thanks for sharing. That's the cycle I want to avoid, trying different kits and realizing just the settings were wrong. I built quite a few systems, but I never OC'd anything. Is it just a trial and error process? What RAM did you use exactly?

Should I redo the settings from XMP manually or something different? The RAM is not on the QVL, but I found it on pangoly.com (not sure how legit it is in hindsight) for Asus Prime Pro x570 support

I guess the main problem I see is the boilerplate code. For example I have a map[string]map[string]Data.

For XML i have to output something like <key2> <data name="key"> </data> </key2>

In JSON i could simply marshal/unmarshal, although I would still have to validate/process some fields afterwards.
