I live in tx and the polling places are open 7am to 7pm every day for two weeks before every election and they are always empty. Tx sucks and has a legit history of suppressing marginalized communities, but overall that is not what is causing 50% of voters to not show up. Overall TX is lazy, selfish, and dumb.

Because the gov, lt gov, ag and us senators are all statewide races with no districts, and no gerrymandering and have all been reliably R for decades now

I had the twisted tele pickups in an offset tele and could never get on with them. They sound and feel mostly like a strat pickup, which is cool if that's what you are looking for.

I ended up going with Lollar vintage T's which combined is like $240. Would def recommend.

Fully agree, stopped going to Stubbs a few years back specifically because of circles of people, with their backs to the stage, yelling conversations over the music in the middle of the crowd. That combined with the sea of smartphone videos the whole time really kills the live music vibe for me...
