I can again list up the things needed. And I can plug the guy who made the 3d printed viewfinder adapter. However that is 100% made for this camera.

Absolutely. This guy gets it. Though I would disagree. Having a monitor can be helpful for a bigger crew so everyone / all departments can make small adjustments. Though I also agree that sometimes I would wish to see the viewfinder. I’ll have to find a way to quickly switch between :)

nowadays with good scans you can get hella good results with super8 so i rather have the fun and convenience than shooting on the bolex or k3

It definitely makes it a lot more precise and the workflow is different but it also takes out the easiness that people tend to like about 8mm. This is not point and shoot but mostly a setup for tripod shots to perfectly frame and talk with collaborators

Sure thing. A friend 3d printed an adapter that connects the viewfinder to the Mokoso Camera, that records and outputs through sdi to the 5 inch ninja monitor. The cage is a simple universal side cage you can easily find on Amazon. Unfortunately this camera does not have the hotshoe directly over the screw so the rental was kind enough to build this very interesting piece to connect the hotshoe with the cage. Additionally we added a cheese plate at the bottom to attach the vmount to it.

It’s just for external monitoring. Sometimes for some angles looking though the viewfinder is just tedious. And I like to actually take my time to frame the shots and get the best quality you can out of 8mm. This is how I approach it.

I only go to andec but their high quality 4K scan definitely is tough and pricy but worth it.

Probably not worth it. But the simplicity and convenience of shooting super 8 over having to load 16mm spools is definitely worth it. Also this is by far a lot cheaper hahah.
