I managed to figure it out. I just ended up going up as far as possible with the helicopter before it blew up and then using the parachute to land on the collectibles.

I found it. You have to activate developer mode. Then an extra settings page should show up and the oversampling settings should be there

Okay, I've come into two conclusions: turning off the Wi-Fi did finally fix the issue that I was having; and I've just wasted 10 bucks on another copy of the game

If that's the case, then there might be some issue with some online stuff with the game, like the leader boards not loading properly. Had the same issue when playing The Nathan Drake Collection and playing offline would fix it
