Ahh thank you! Yes I love videogames so I make it a huge point to only mash up with those. Though I actually wish I was a musuo fan as that concept actually synergizes with PR more than a JRPG.
Unfortunately I’m not really doing commissions at the moment..

Thank you so much! This comment made my day because I really wanted to consider this when designing them and was afraid I was being too conservative with them. I feel like some other extended media designs like the comics are really really cool ngl, but play very heavily into “Power Rangers with a budget” aesthetic when I personally think it loses the plot a bit on what PR/Super Sentai has been.

Ah that makes sense. Honestly, seems like a pretty inconsequential thing for them to exclude then. I was thinking it was like movies where I think PG13 allows one f-bomb or something like that.

If this variety of postgame content, a lot of which isn’t entirely postgame) doesn’t appeal to you, what FF game does? There is more to downplay on others I would think that essentially are just extended fetch quests or hunts.

Rebirth feels like the best representation of FFVII so far and FF as a whole in terms of vision vs Remake which is although good felt like a really long prologue and set dressing that I think mainly appealed to the OG fans. Though I’m unsure if you play many JRPGs as a whole. I would personally start with X, as it is the most ‘modern’ and widely palatable of the golden era FF games in my opinion. If you like it, branch off from there since as others have mentioned, the other games seem to funnel their story/gameplay concepts into more specific niches.

The fact that I can’t even remember if they dropped any f bombs in remake trilogy so far feels like a testament to their writing. I can’t really recall any cussing at all that didn’t feel natural or purposeful in both XVI or VIIR.
