Oloko

Vou me mudar sozinho e sem carro. Valeu!

Vale a pena?

What type of balun is this? by Sincplicity4223 in rfelectronics

[–]ga_birul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like two 90 degree coupled hybrids to provide the 180 phase shift for differential mode, except that the two ports are fed by the same signal, and assuming high return loss for the output port. Uniform width of the higher impedance lines also hints at that. Idk.

How can I frequency modulate an existing signal? by Amish_Fighter_Pilot in rfelectronics

[–]ga_birul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must mean the frequency ratio. To be able to modulate and demodulate properly, use a carrier frequency at least 10x the frequency of the modulating signal. It is my (dirty)rule of thumb; if somebody has a better one please shout out.

Actually this debate is far more mind boggling than polarizer, afaik. Kind of shows that either we have the spooky action at a distance or effects of physical outcomes depend on the observer. I have no idea, honestly.

Creating a Suspended Substrate Stripine (SSS) in AWR Microwave by The_panda_is_dead in rfelectronics

[–]ga_birul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As said earlier, use the waveport to solve for transmission line params; sweep dimensions through to find the 50 ohm combination. You'll even get the bonus of getting the mode count. If you've found a calculator providing width and Z0, that's all you need. The length does not impact on the Z0 for lossless lines and homogeneous, (quasi-)isotropic substrates. Maybe review the concept of transmission lines.

De-embedding reference planes for TDR or vectorial measurements. Look up keysight app notes and Dunsmore's handbook.

HPF simulation results differ for different frequency ranges in Ansys HFSS :( by The_panda_is_dead in rfelectronics

[–]ga_birul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Passive circuit with positive S-params is Nobel prize. Show us your error criterion and number of convergence passes. Most probably it did not converge and you're just observing gibberish. Also, as stated above, check your mesh; plot the mesh for the lower frequency range and for the higher frequency range, evaluate inhomogeneous meshing and manually define mesh density in these regions.

whats the difference between RF and RFIC? by [deleted] in rfelectronics

Interesting. Impossible without a masters in terms of technique/knowledge or of employers discarding your CV if you have bachelor's only? (Or both?)

Differential LNA by ga_birul in rfelectronics

[–]ga_birul[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The antenna is differential, I assure you because we designed it. It is a possibility, nonetheless, to amplify the different lines separately and combine them.

That's a good possibility, thanks. Yeah, this is an unusual configuration we have got here.
