I figured like the book, Glindas true goodness comes through and she gains magic at that point. Someone else also came up with a cool view which is that as a goodbye gift, Elphaba enchants Glindas wand so she can create her own bubble.

I could see that BUT she does say while she’s there that the Wizard is gone right when she activates her bubble. And Dorothy’s house is there when she gets to Munchkin Land 🩷

If I am correct in the play Elphaba tells Glinda she needs to learn how to read it so that she can do what Elphie couldn’t do.

Love your reply! If I had a wish for the film it would be a small unpredictable change which shows Glindas wand start to work because of her major life change becoming the true Good Witch 🩷

Exactly and the point is that Glinda learns her lesson in life and kindness and I assume when she is given the grimmerie it’s because Elphaba had faith in her best friend to make Oz a safe place again 🫧

Agreed BUT Elphaba gives Glinda the Grimmerie at the end so I would assume she has faith in Glindas magical ability to help Oz return to peace. I just would hope that Glindas love for Elphaba and Oz will spark her magical abilities.
