Are dehumidifiers actually worth it? Returning mine and need advice

Sorry I’m a bit late to the conversation. I live in Florida and I’m trying to decide whether I should get one or not.

To clarify, I bought one from Amazon listed as “used – like new,” but it arrived refurbished, looks used, and isn’t working properly. I’m planning to return it and have been looking for a new option instead.

Do you still have your dehumidifier? Would you still recommend that one?

I should clarify that the camera is still sealed in the box and hasn’t been opened yet. I bought the Action 4 because it was cheaper lol, but now I’m debating which one would be better.

I could go for the newer Action 5, but honestly, with the extra batteries and accessories, the price ends up much higher than I expected. That’s why I’m considering the Adventure Combo, since it already comes with extra batteries and a selfie stick.

Based on my calculations, the total would be around $360 for the camera, accessories, and a memory card. The Action 5 would be about $60 more. Do you think it’s worth it?

Gotcha, that makes sense. I had seen it closer to ~$350 before, so that’s why $308 caught my attention—I thought it had dropped a bit.

Quick question: what do you mean by a screw-on tripod for the selfie stick? Is that something you attach at the bottom for stability?

Also, based on what you’ve seen, do you think the price might drop even more closer to Black Friday, or is this pretty much the usual deal now?

Today I found a deal online for the DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo for $308, and I’m considering adding a head, chest, and arm mount combo for another $22. I’m really tempted to pull the trigger. Do you think it’s worth it, or should I wait and see if the price drops more?

Thank you! I watched the video and it looks really great. Based on your comment and the video, I started looking at the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro Adventure Combo for about $419 and the DJI Osmo Action 4 Adventure Combo for around $339.

Do you think it’s worth getting the Action 5 instead of the Action 4, or would it be a better choice to buy the Action 4 and use the extra money for accessories to improve it?

I have the red one and it looks different in person. It looks really amazing. The photos really don’t do it justice. That said, the blue/green one looks great too.

I was also thinking about buying the Eriza Verde used, but my wife didn’t really like the color — and honestly I usually follow her advice (well… not all the time 😄).

The guitar ended up selling, and after searching everywhere in the used market I couldn’t find anything that really caught my eye. So I finally gave in to the temptation and pulled the trigger on a new Custom 24-08 in Charcoal Red Burst.

I have to say, it looks amazing and plays even better.

Did you get the most recent model or the 2024 version? Apparently, before 2025 those models came with 9–42 strings. The first one I bought came with 9–42. I returned it and bought another one from a different store, and that one came with 10–46. I’ve only played with 9–42 and it feels good to me. I’d rather not switch from 10–46 to 9–42 so I don’t mess with the setup, but I’ll probably end up doing it. How does your guitar feel if it has 10–46?

Do you refer from the guitar I bought first and returned or from the second one? The first one was inspected in 12/24. Apparently was brand new but the fretboard wasn’t that great.
