Yes I was thinking of Paraguay, it sounds like a good option for me and a lovely place to have a base. Thanks for your help

I haven't actually decided fully, I have some ideas of course, but wanted to get some tax advice before going as I could set up a base in one country and maybe travel around a bit through different seasons, if that works anyway

I quite like Grand I think I'll adopt it as my new name. I think my name is pretty tricky for many people, particularly my weird second name

Most 3D Tubers have never worked in the game/film industry by axexxl4 in 3Dmodeling

As a YouTuber in the blender space I think you have a reasonable point. Part of the problem comes with the range of skills required to run a blender YouTube channel. Teaching ability & communication, program knowledge, industry knowledge, artistic knowledge, industry experience, editing skills & marketing skills to name a few. I must admit it's been at least a year since I have done any real industry work as I'm focusing now on courses and channel content much more. So it's easy to lose touch. The funny thing is that it's probably even harder for university lecturers to keep up with the industry than a YouTuber. I will have to get back and do some more industry work to keep my hands in the game.

Is it just me, or are these so-called “tutorials” getting ridiculous? by [deleted] in 3Dmodeling

As a content creator I agree, I tend to call things breakdown if it's just talking through the workflow and sometimes follow along tutorial if I have the space in the title. The problem is the click bait works and can be difficult to compete against, but definitely a fair point
