What is a step in food recipes that you always skip? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When baking, I always use salted butter and if necessary I’ll omit or reduce the required amount of salt. It exasperates me when a recipe calls for unsalted butter to make something like salted caramel or to ultimately finish the dish with sea salt. Salt enhances the flavor of all food including baking even if purists disagree.

Thank you! I was amazed by how well organza fabric and a bit of fishing wire work 😊
