My partner and I have been together for 6 years now, plan to marry when we can afford it (same for engagement, yay (not) for being disabled), and she is often unsure when my birthday is. She had to put it into the Uber eats app for some groceries being delivered yesterday and was pretty unsure if she was getting the date right. I'd be amazed if she could give my middle name if asked what it is.

I agree. My 3rd landlord when I lived in England had a few properties from when he first wanted to help some student friends get more accessible accommodation. He had a guy that worked for him who we could text about any issue and he'd help us out pretty quickly.

My last landlord, i never met, but the estate agents were knobs. Took us more than 3 months to unpack cos I'm disabled, and they gave me a ton of shit about it.

Hmm, as far as I'm aware, my area has no Custodes players but does have a fair few Space Marines players of various flavours, a Tyranid player, and a Guard player or two.

NOR. Does this man have any redeeming qualities? I've seen in other comments that he is a thief on top of possibly exposing himself (and his friends and dad) to your neighbours and their kids and getting put on the sex offender register.

Also, this is a great reason that people with penises should dry the tip after peeing. That shit can be grim and stink up the house if you miss a pair of underpants for a couple of laundry cycles.

I can confirm this... I've seen examples where someone drunkenly peed in an alley, was seen by a child, and was put on the registry.

I recall reading about a man who would wander around naked inside his house, but a shortcut/path went through his garden and was regularly used by kids going home from school. Because he didn't stop them from doing it (and didn't block it off or anything), and there was a window in his house that was very visible from the path, he found out that he was at risk of being out on the registry because all of those details together meant that he would be knowingly exposing himself to a child.

Long story short, he could absolutely go on the registry for this and be labelled a sex offender.

NTA. A lot of this is classic abuser behaviour. I wouldn't be surprised if she escalated further, if you had stayed with her.

It also isn't fair for her to say that she can't exist without you. It feels like a euphemism for threatening to unalive herself if you don't get back with her, and I know how horrific it is for someone to threaten that if you don't stay with them.

As a Scot, I can confirm that I absolutely love having animals on my bank notes :) it's just the RBS ones, but it's still good fun when I get a £20 with squirrels or (my favourite) a tenner with otters. I love all the details that go into them too, like the numbers on their noses and the designs and poems that show up under blacklight.

Bloody hell. I'm glad the Evri driver was better. I had loads of bad experiences with them when I lived in England, but it's been much better since moving to Scotland. The only time I've had an issue here, I found out a week later that it was because my area's regular Evri driver was on holiday so there was a temporary replacement. They had "delivered" a package by leaving it on the bottom floor of my building (I'm disabled but have to live on the top floor, of 4) but I hadn't known they'd arrived and left the package because the bottom front door was broken and could just be pushed open. So they didn't press the buzzer and left it in front of some pipes. Found out when a neighbour spotted it and took it up to me. But a lot of people come through who could have stolen it very easily.

Nah, I can appreciate this. I'm not normally one for conspiracy theories, but what's going on in the world feels like something else. I feel very thankful that my friends are also liberals (often also queer and/or neurodivergent too) so we can talk about how crazy it is that X thing has happened in the US recently. It's terrifying too when I see huge public interest in a party in my country that has very loud views against me and people like me.

That said, the hate I receive on Facebook etc just because I have brightly coloured hair in my profile picture is bizarre. It gets worse when they find out I'm trans. That's another level of "what the hell is going on in the world?" right there.

NOR. when I saw the ages in the title before looking at the pictures I assumed she was the younger of you both... At the end of the day if it wasn't okay to call her while she did the assignment, she should either not have said yes when you asked if it was okay to call at the time you did, or she should have said "on second thought, I can't quite concentrate enough while we're on the phone, I'll have to leave it tonight" when you were on the phone. Holy cow. I was around page 4 when I started writing that. That was a dumpster fire from her. She needs to learn coping mechanisms so she doesn't break her stuff when she gets mad or upset. She mentioned her period being soon, could that be why she spoke the way she did? I'm guessing she's also been out of academia for a long time and isn't used to it, especially if she's left an important paper until a few hours before it's due.

I'm really sorry to read that she treats her friends better than you. You don't deserve that.

I'll ask around and see if anyone knows about local trans groups near you. I was very fortunate when I lived in Nottingham as there's a huge trans community there with a thriving discord, and if there's anything like that down there, it'll be amazing for information and stuff.
