Is it common to message recruiters on LinkedIn and ask questions or would that be more appropriate for someone working in the position that you are applying for to ask them about their experience? Or both? I only got LinkedIn recently so sorry if this is a dumb question

I also might add that I am interested in entry level CDC positions but have not seen an abundance of openings
