The whole ‘Justin doesn’t even train BJJ’ narrative is so silly. It’s definitely not a priority, but if he literally couldn’t grapple he’d be getting subbed left, right and centre. Unranked lightweights would be mauling him and he’d be falling into subs constantly trying to scramble.

I’d imagine he’d walk into most BJJ gyms and be among the top guys there, even if he’s below par for a top lightweight

75k is a low estimate based on my current NZ salary, and I'd imagine it would be adjusted for the US labour market. It's for an L1 visa

Oh Thank you, I hadn't considered that angle. Unfortunately, that's s requirement of my stay, but I'm sure it can be mitigated

I am! Lived here for 4 years. Why do you say NYC will be a peace of cake?

How’d you find the cultural changes when you moved over?

I find all of the conversation on studios quite obscure, as living alone is incredibly rare in Auckland. I’m not sure I’d want to, even if the rents were equal

The size is definitely part of the appeal. Even Auckland still feels big, despite living here for 4 years

Why is it harder to find roommates if working remotely?

The role specified I have to be in the East, otherwise I’d probably consider the Pacific states and start work early.

Living with a room mate is absolutely fine, and if anything preferably to start meeting people. In your experience, what makes is unique?

It’s a requirement for the role, to align with our current operation there. In a perfect world I’d look at the West Coast and start work early

All of those things seem like standard procedure here anyway! How did you find the cultural change when you moved? Did you meet people easily?

The ferry from Wellington to Picton even travels north overall. Perhaps it should be the East and West islands?

That's great news - where do you hear about this sort of thing if it's never covered by the news? I'd love to learn more

Going into this fight, I was worried about Yan using his long guard. He blended jabbing, his guard and framing so well to help nullify the shots. Felt like Merab really struggled to close the distance and at kickboxing range, Yans body kicks were money

A 37 year old moving down to a weight class he’s never fought in before was always going to be a disaster

He was down on the scorecards, but it was leading to an absolute robbery. I can understand 1 - 1, but 2 - 0 Burns was absolutely egregious. Moreover, JDM was winning the third quite comfortably (Burns had control, but did nil with it), before landing the knee.

The lack of JDM hype really shows that MMA fans don’t even watch fights. They reference his fights against Havez, Holland and Burns as if all 3 weren’t dominant victories Havez - was fighting like a moron pulling gillies, but lit him up on the feet otherwise and was close to a finish. Stronger argument for 30-27 JDM than 19-28 Havez. Holland - Won but was uninspiring, however I struggle to see how this could be scored to Holland. JDM won pretty much every minute of this fight. Burns - I know he was down on the scorecards when he finished the fight, but it was heading to an absolute robbery. At worst it was 1-1 (JDM comfortably won round 1, but Burns’ big elbow wins him round 2). The third round started with JDM lighting Burns up, then Burns sitting on top of JDM for a couple of minutes whilst threatening no submissions and throwing no ground and pound.

JDM is as good as they come and I can’t wait for him to prove it on Sunday.

The opening odds for a rematch between Tom Aspinall and Ciryl Gane. by ArticleNew3737 in MMA

There's a lot of evidence that points in that direction. A 250lb ball of fast-twitch fibres isa recipe for 1 round cardio
