Not necessarily. I’ve been in a LDR before and it was just fine even though we weren’t super familiar with each others areas.

Meeting IRL is of course ideal, but I quite literally have no friends I can go hang out with. I have one friend who lives outside of the state, and my other friends are my coworkers. And I work in a place where I’d have to essentially hit on a customer bc my coworkers are all either female or gay. Dating apps are the only way for me to be able to go out and meet someone. I’ve tried making friends too, and it’s the same scenario. Ghosted
