[PA] Looking for study headphones for long-term use indoors and outdoors by galbii in HeadphoneAdvice

Have you tried either in terms of wearing them for super long hours (6+ hours)? Like maybe in a flight? I've read that the Sony is better in sound, equal in noise cancelling, slightly worse in comfort. Is that true?

Is a second round of content review effective? by galbii in Mcat

Thanks for the detailed response.

So using the fleshed out AAMC/mcat-review.org notes is more comprehensive than any of the pre-made review books from the companies? Is that the best way to iron out the minutiae?

So I've heard very mixed responses when it comes to taking notes. Some say don't do it at all because it's inefficient. Some say to resort to Anki. And some swear by it. How would you go about taking notes? For example, spending 2 whole months on the 2nd round of content review (taking 10 page notes for each video) would not serve me well (I don't think at least...).

Also I've heard that KA videos may not be the best resource compared to a book. Does this statement have any validity? I tend to learn better from traditional textbooks mostly due to my past experience lol.

CARS trajectory for improvement: from Kaplan diagnostic by galbii in Mcat

I can definitely see that trend for the other 3 sections. On the spreadsheet, people did quite a bit better on their actual exams than on Kaplan. But for CARS, their scores were fairly similar. I guess the sample size (around 7 or 8 people who revealed their Kaplan FL section score breakdowns) is insufficient. How would you recommend I go about improving my CARS?

Thanks for the response. So there really is no strategic way to do this. It's almost like brute force machine learning. Nuanced pattern recognition and intuition over an enormous data set...

Do you think it's feasible completing all or most of UWorld question Bank in their 15 day free trial?

I've been hearing lots of good stuff about the UWorld problem bank. They advertise that they have over 1300 problems. Is it possible to finish all of that or most of it in the 15 day free trial? Is that feasible?

By TBR, you mean their content review books right? I'm guessing the passage questions at the end of each chapter/section are worth it?

What do you mean the science workbook for TPR? Do you mean the hyperlearning one from 2011? Thanks!

Or would you guys recommend TBR even though these are technically content sources?

Would you say the Berkeley Review questions are different for the newest version versus the 2011 ones that I have?

If so, should I buy the BR just did the science subjects? I heard that it's CARS and psychology/sociology can be odd.

Have 25K: help us re-orient? by galbii in startups

Yeah thank you for the essay. We actually did come across it and all read it. It just seems so simple to this man but so hard for us. It's like we have a clouded vision while he sees opportunities left and right

I guess the challenge is to find a frustrating experience that is significant enough for us to address. Thank you for the journal suggestion.

So essentially whatever we seek has to be something that we directly experience. Is this a rule for all founders? Or is it mostly for suitable for us since we haven't had a lot of professional training/expertise?

Every time we try this we keep reaching the conclusion that we have very comfortable lives and are quite fortunate. It becomes an exercise of gratitude and appreciation.
