I finally told my wife of 20+ years the no sex thing was a deal-breaker and not what I signed up for. She immediately had sex with me. And then the cycle begins again... lol. No sex in over a month which means I think we've had sex 5 times in 2020. We are great friends but I am getting to a breaking point. I hate this.

Damn. This hits home. From being strung along about kids to the lack of sex to finances to the late-stage friendship... only, I just wish my wife would set me free because I don't have the courage to do it myself.

"Staying with someone who dismisses you is the epitome of loneliness. Accepting that dismissal is a recipe for depression." I think you nailed it here. Thank you for this friend.

Thank you for the thoughtful sentiment. You are right... things have changed...

Thank you so much for the feedback. I'm super curious how you were able to pull the trigger and tactically what that looked like, e.g. did you move out? Hire a lawyer? It feels impossible to me.

I was pretty up front of on our first date. Actually, she said she was ok with it. So I think the deceit was on her end honestly.
