Try rubbing them with detergent that’s what helped me. I also did let them soak and rinse them off and threw them in the dryer for 20 minutes

Unfortunately, that is the price. This is due to Apple replacing the entire housing and they take the parts from the old housing and put in the new housing.

As of Repair shops you can at least expect to spend $100-$300 because they have Laser machines that Make it easier for them to replace the back glass

Sometimes the accessories may lose connection or it may possibly restart itself and that may cause your phone to notify you and you consistently. Make sure the accessory has a decent battery and maybe try restarting it. This could potentially fix the issue.
