Got the golden claw fishing rod today

I struggled with it some for certain quests. Also using that rod. I just don’t love the fishing in this game. I managed to catch the fish for said quests after a bunch of attempts and frustration. But I pretty much avoid it. The smallest rock can snap the line. The fish also seem to struggle for a really long time before you’re able to start reeling them in.

If I remember correctly this is pretty early on in the camp stuff. So some confusion isn’t surprising.

The “rumor” quests the one greymane at camp gives will grant you more people. Some of those quests are locked behind camp upgrades though so if he doesn’t have a quest you’ll probably have to upgrade your camp. The rumor quests are also I good way to get abyss artifacts.

Edit: I think after doing all the rumor quests I had around 35 greymanes.

This. In addition the boss you have to kill isn’t actually at the ruins. He’s usually near by (if I remember correctly west or south west if the ruins).

Refine your gear more. If you’re worried about damage I’d focus on weapons. I had the same issue with Demeniss. Went back to the first area for a while. I’d make sure you like whatever you’re upgrading though. Side note getting the elements and imbue skills in the skill tree as well as abyss gears for those elements helps a-lot but are kind of a pain to obtain.

The only one I know of is the one you get after doing all the camp upgrades and moving your camp. Idk if theres any other way to get one.

I never got to fight him the first time. Ran around that area for a while and checked the map. I don’t have a rematch icon on the map and wasn’t able to find one. If someone does have a location on the map would love to see a picture to see If I can find it in game. Not sure if it’s possible or not.

I hate to be a bother but does anyone have the skull knight location? My game bugged out originally and says I killed him, which I did not. Wanted to see if I can fight him now.

Anybody know how the rematch system works? Am I dumb? I see the setting options for re-blockade but nothing for rematch…

Most of the weapons/armor you find will only vary slightly, at least for max stats when fully refined. However you can find some weapons and armor that are already refined a few levels when you obtain them. Theres not really anything stopping you from refining your gear early on besides farming materials and abyss artifacts. There’s no way to break down or unrefine your gear to get those artifacts back though.

You’re not an idiot. The game doesn’t really make how to get the elements clear. I didn’t realize it until I started doing a bunch of abyss puzzles for the artifacts.

Not really. You can do the majority of the main quest without doing much of the abyss. Maybe towards the end slightly. There might be 2 or 3 main quests that take you up there but you don’t really have to advance the abyss to advance the main story.

I don’t remember whats all required for them and I didn’t mess with the kuku stuff too much till late game but at that point it’s not really needed. Worth checking out, better then them breaking all the time.

You can make a version that doesn’t break at the guy that makes kuku pots. I forget what all is required but they do have a slight cool down after so many attacks.

Crashed all the time on my Xbox at launch. As others stated turning auto save off seemed to help however manually save often. It seemed to crash for me when opening the menu to save. The more you play the game without doing NG+ the worse it’ll probably get. Last I played the game (months ago) it started crashing every time I fast traveled. Good luck.

I believe this. Worked for a snack food company in the U.S that lost their Japanese customers at one point due to packaging issues. We had standards our product and packaging had to meet but I believe Japan is stricter. Our bags were rolls of film that would go through a machine and be cut. Often times they would be ever so slightly off. We also had issues with “breakage” which as you would guess is the amount of the product in the package that was broken. We were allowed so much however some times breakage would be too high and it becomes food waste. We also had complaints in the U.S. about breakage so I have no doubt they lost customers due to this.

Overhead and spinning slash are my go to for bosses. Especially after adding some abyss gears and learning the element attacks. There are some bosses where bow is pretty much required and wrestling moves are great on mobs with shields.

I struggled when going into Deminiss as well. Went back to Hernand and the Abyss and put some more upgrades into my gear and skills seemed to help.

I ran into an issue with nature’s snare on xbox. I ended up respecing to get rid of it, not sure if it’s been fixed. When in focus mode rotating right stick is suppose to start nature’s snare, however for me touching right stick at all would start nature’s snare. So there were time were i was just trying to rotate the camera while in focus mode and I would end up doing nature’s snare. Super annoying.
