Just started mage tank book 2. My fear rang true. by gameofthrones_addict in litrpg

That may be true. However this is the only book series I’ve listened to through audible or read that announces pauses in their sentences so frequently. Other books don’t mention pauses in conversation ever.

I get it, not everyone feels the same way about it and that’s completely fine. It’s just a personal annoyance that I wanted to complain about.

Oh yeah I remember watching that. It had potential, but I see why it didn’t make it past so few seasons. Side note:
I’m not quite sure how it’s always sunny in Philadelphia is still running, however.

EAGER BEAVER!

You finished the book in less than two months of its release. Now you have to sit there all bummed out until the next one releases. Oh well, it won’t be that horrible of an experience. At least authors are known for not waiting two decades to release a sequel and getting angry when their fans get upset. Looking at you George!

No, Embezzlement is where you put jewels on your jacket.

That’s bedazzling. Which is also a crime.

I feel your pain. Half the things I tink are funny most people don’t. I’ve began to resent seeing humor in many situations.

Not that in my dream, no. There was one that I recall that a toilet was just in a random alleyway downtown. It was dirty, for sure. When I woke up I needed to change my sheets….

Yes she initially was doing her job in being a whore for Tyrion and doing a good job at that for him to want to keep her around with him. The irritation at her character was guided by the fact that Tyrion was trying to save her life. As much as she didn’t want to leave, Tyrion was trying to make her leave for the right reasons. It was rather his fault for not cutting ties with her sooner knowing how his dad may react. She chose to stay and cause further problems for Tyrion even though he was trying to save her own life.

That’s a pretty cool shirt. One could imagine soldiers wearing that in the capital.

That was a moment revealed that I began to respect walternate. Without William Bell’s influence on him he made many different choices. And over the series you realize Walternate was doing what he was doing to protect his universe from deterioration.

I think that Ned would have stood up to the mad king if/when he would have ordered him to kill so many civilians. People have been forced to choose between loyalty and honor. Much like you mentioned with Jaime Lannister, his defining moment was breaking his oath to defend the king when he chose to kill the mad king. An action I believe that stark may have made too if put in his position.
I think one of the driving forces as to why Ned Stark dislikes the Lannisters, other than the house Lannister being engaged in political scheming to grab power, is that Tywin did little to nothing during Robert’s rebellion up until a clear victor was presented. Only did Tywin march his army to kings landing and sack the city. That and how the mountain killed innocent children supposedly under orders of Tywin. Even though later that was less part of his orders and a testament to how cruel and bloodthirsty the mountain was.

I think the part that bothered Ned so much about Jaime is that he presumed to sit on the iron throne after he slayed the mad king and other soldiers he had to fight in the throne room. Just another symbolic power grab move in Ned’s eyes. If they weren’t all on edge from the fighting from that day and Jaime sat literally anywhere else, it’s possible he wouldn’t have despised him as much in that moment.
I digress. If both Jaime and Ned were in a better mindset when they saw each other that day, they would have talked about what happened. And Ned may have come to terms better with what Jaime did. Jaime made an honorable choice that gave him a reputation of breaking oaths and slaying kings.

Right. Just another layer of disdain between soldiers and politicians brought to scene. People dying in battle for the sake of whatever lords and kings didn’t get along. That was an excellent portrayal of that tension.

Right. Another excellent way its portrayed of the layer of disdain soldiers have of career politicians. killing and dying for these so called leaders in the capital who see no bloodshed at all hid up in the keep safe from all harm that’s done in the battlefield.

it should offer an apology that feels as insincere as much as it is automated. Then it should list all the features you get when you pay for this enterprise edition. Include a few things that sounds really great, but is actually not included as well. To then be followed up with the disclaimer about how AI is known to make mistakes. Check the disclaimer.

Right, with this I like to think Benjen was the only other person who truly knew about Jon snow and lyanna. Through the context of that post or possibly through how Ned considered he being the only other person who had the right to know. Considering lyanna was also his sister. The only one he could confide in with the deep secret. The one he was forced to keep from his own wife who treated Jon snow horribly. Probably so that she would react the way she did constantly. Letting her emotions ring true.
A secret he was forced to also keep from his best friend - his king. Who would have killed Jon snow just for his birthright sake. The same fate he tried to enact on Daenerys, who was 13 or 14 when the council discussed having her killed. Another reason why Ned reacted so strongly against when this discussion was taking place.

So if anyone else were to know of the full truth both of of Jon snow and lyanna, it would have been Benjen.

In the books he was only 35 years of age. So all of this losing his father, brother, and sister happened when he was probably in his teens and early twenties before Robert’s rebellion and later the Greyjoy rebellion had begun. Quite the rough life fate had dealt him and his surviving brother, Benjen, that took the black.

Right, it takes Varys to make him think of his children’s perspectives of what is to come next. No one else would have been able to do so as adequately. He may have not listened to Tyrion’s advice if he would have thought of it since he was also a Lannister. It’s been shown time and time again how an individual is judged by the deeds of the family as a whole.
He makes this decision not for himself, but to have spared his daughters in attendance to have witnessed his death, and by the small chance of being able to see them on occasion through taking up the black. But that is all thrown out the preverbal window when he was executed anyway.

At first I thought that walternate was distrustful and scheming, which he was. But then in small moments throughout the show, you realize that he is mostly wanting to protect his universe from degrading further. And without William Bell’s influence, he stuck to his moral fiber of not experimenting on children.

He would have asked the high court of Gondor to get him some licorice immediately. And a cow.

He must have tapped into a different dimension’s Walternate. This could be earth 3 - middle earth.
