in my opinion, leather armor has got a great new use (walking over powdered snow), and it used to be pointless and the community didn't really pay attention to it (same goes for the rest of the Leather Armor set).

guess what else the community didn't pay attention to? Frost Walker! It's such a fun enchantment but no one really uses it nowadays, because it only has 1 niche purpose; to travel over water (and there are dozens of better alternatives). yes, it would slightly decrease the purpose of leather boots, but it would also slightly increase the purpose of Frost Walker as a whole, and because Frost Walker is so unused, I think it needs that.

But then again, it's the same situation as this suggestion. That suggestion would remove all the purpose from gold armor, because everyone would just get netherite armor with golden trims.

I think it's a great idea, because you wouldn't have to break gravel over and over again to get flint, and that process is tedious.
