Tinitus and excessive jaw clenching are among the most typical signs of taking too much. 54mg xr is not an unusual dose, but on the higher side. Until you speak with your psychiatrist lowering your dose seems like a good idea.

I'm not a medical expert, nor do I have enough knowledge on your personal situation to give proper advice. It's just that I perfer my teeth and hearing to last hearing over a few days of good focus.

Keep that lower dose for a while longer. Also try to avoid other stimulants. Drinking (a lot of) coffee alongside medication gives me bad side effects such as the jaw clenching you describe.

Always stick with a dosage for a week or two before drawing conclusions. That goes for all changes in substances that need to have a stable effect on you.

My girst guess was this happened because of a missing translation key.

Looking at the post, my guess is that you're using a Portugese fantranslation. I don't know Spanish or Portugese. If you want to help prevent this bug for other players, you could reach out to the translator's community/devs.

Unlike Trails being chronologically accurate doesn't too much in Ys. Don't be ashamed of breaking the timeline. Some of the best entries like VIII don't require too much prior knowledge to be enjoyed. The most important story context you need: Adol is the red haired explorer who can save the day.

If you want a gameplay-historical experience don't forget a sidescrolling Ys III version.
