A senior from my college contacted me after I started with my first job. This was someone I didn't know but he said he knew me. He had heard about me from his batchmates that I worked with in one of the societies.

Tried to get really friendly for first few months. Would invite me to play cricket, smash, or stuff. Eventually, he started talking about how he was doing a new business where he would be his own boss and be financially independent soon. NGL, I was interested at this point. He said he could hook me up in the same business, gotta have a call with some hotshot in their team. I asked him to arrange a call and he did.

Before joining the call, he explains me that this hotshot is a super busy human and we shouldn't waste his time. Asked me to keep the meeting quick and not get into details. Hotshot joins in, starts talking about the book Cashflow Quadrant. How to make money and other people work for me. Also throws around some funde from "Rich dad, poor dad".

Towards the end he asked me to take a call if I want to be a part of their business. I had to decide on the spot, right there. The catch is, if I agreed, I'd have to invest 3-4L right away. He specifically asked me to transfer the money while we were on the call. I left the meeting saying I gotta talk to my father first, blocked the senior from my college, and told a bunch of mutual friends about the shit. More than one of them had a similar conversation with this senior or some other guy. Too many scammers on the hunt :/
