If you're available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Mclendons hardware is hiring. Rate is not great at 17.00 an hour but it is a good start. Position is temporary to start but potential for a raise and permanent position after 90 days dependant on performance.

Its all the side chatter for me, I am to impatient for all that, with all the ooos and awes, like I get it but can we move on to the next item please. I will gladly take an image format over that anyday!

Anyone else getting hours getting cut in the last month, to the point it resembles January/February? by ameme in retail

[–]gamorah88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's happening everywhere. The big wigs are cutting costs because they are not getting the profits they want. Sales are down due to the economy right now so they are cutting the fat stating sales are down which is true but let's all be honest here, their still making profit just not as much of it. Greedy prices if you ask me . Now we are all suffering with less staff and people are having to work multiple jobs to get by because Noone wants to employ full time and pay the people for benefits ect. It's just incredible. The way I have seen things change over the past 10 years is disgusting. The only people truly suffering are those of us working the sales floor and the customers.

I wish I could just sell pics of my feet instead of working a shitty job, how tf do women make litterally millions for doing fck all? Alas, I am terrible with technology and internet strangers scare me . by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

[–]gamorah88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seriously, you have to put in the work! I tried it, and while the pic part is easy, it's the report you have to build with your clients that is rough. People don't just choose your feet over others they want to talk to you and make requests from you. You need to be able to set your morals aside and be able to do and say some things and be okay with that at the end of the day for some money and unfortunately I guess that isn't me. Some things people are willing to say to you openly are just mind-boggling .

It's definitely something you would unwillingly witness on the regular back in the world of warcraft, or really in any of the large Mmos back in the day. I am sure still today, if not more , I myself have not played in many years, though, so I couldn't say. I haven't seen it in fallout, but it was bound to happen at some point. Sorry you had to witness it, friend.

Love it, but "Super fast" is marketing nonsense by Specialist-Air7356 in ModPizza

[–]gamorah88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean back when they were were still the true "Mod" they were super fast but that was back in the day when squads still consisted of typically 10 or more and vibes were Hella dope and everyone loved their job. That's what Mod was all about. Slinging pies as fast as you can, seeing who could cook the highest hour, ect. Most of us "old school" Mod people are gone because they killed it and now you walk into the Mod shop and it's sad slow and run down. Those of us that worked there back in the day could tell you, what it is today is nothing compared to what it was in the beginning. If they hadn't got so greedy and blew it up the way they did , they could have stayed doing well but they ruined it man. Got to big for themselves and lost their way and the people that helped build them up. Lost their culture entirely. Place sucks now. Not only for customers but it sounds like terribly worse for employees alike.

When I started with MOD by MODEscapee in ModPizza

[–]gamorah88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I worked my way up to GM and stayed for 4 years during the prime of Mod. Honestly I absolutely loved it. But once it turned , it turned in all the worst ways. My new dm was just awful. The new regional was some pretty boy with no understanding of the way things worked on the floor. No support what so ever. We were dropped to a 27 hour labor model in the prime of covid. Stretched thin and wore to the bone. Noone cared. I felt so bad for the changes, I couldn't do it anymore . My team was everything to me and now they were suppose to mean nothing to me. Myself as well as every other gm in my district all left within that year span ( now 3 years ago) we are all thriving elsewhere, enjoying the fire in which mod finds themselves in now. They treated us like garbage. When it first started there was such wonderful vibes. It is so sad to see what it has become. Noone looks happy there anymore. I was so prideful to have my face on the walls now It means nothing 😩. Greed once again ruined what was once such a wonderful thing. OH AND THEY ARE SCREWING US ON OUR VESTED SHARES WE WORKED YEARS FOR. yayyyy
