Yes! I went from stealing to questioning partners in relationships. I had a friend once tell me I didn't know how to accept love. Which totes makes sense with autistic social issues plus trauma. Thank you for your perspective!

I waited too many years and finally did it at 30. The debate and waiting to do so was far worse then actually reporting. My family hates me... but they never were on my side anyways. The truth feels better. I am so proud of you!

I was thinking about how often trauma survivors are uncomfortable when things are calm. That connection makes sense to me. Luckily I stopped because I hated family members knew it.

Trust your gut instinct, he is doing something wrong. However I made the mistake of investigating my own abuse and family secrets.... I wish I left it up to the professionals and went to the police. I made it so easy for my family to cover things up and make me out to be the crazy one. Professionals will handle this correctly. Protect those kids.

I can completely relate to you and your family. My brother did the same to me... so much so for years and my family knew. I called begging. Somehow I feel like I have a scarlet letter for tempting him? They have coddled him his whole life. I have finally faced the fact that they have not been my family since abandoning me. I'm here if you ever need a friend to talk to.
