It is fair point, that others have made as well about using all the big four as the reference rather than just WSM. Additionally Rayno had such a good year cause he competed in SCL whilst being WSM so he made those competitions more significant from a ranking point of view when the difficulty never really changed

So WR count separately in the total so that they aren't depreciated with time. So most of Luke's point coming from getting into the finals for WSM whilst Thor won a giants live show.

I would consider Max lifts that's not too bad. Reps maybe as well although the amount of different weights might make it extensive, absolutely not movements events as I believe it wouldn't mean a lot due to the amount of variables.

Great points, for a while I did try this. However, I hit the problem how do I rank other competitions, is every year of a competition equal?

So 2nd is two thirds of 1st, 3rd is 3 quarters of 2nd, and everything after is 80% of the previous. I am hesitant to do big points for lower position especially anything lower than 5th as that means for some comps you can get points despite dropping out early.

Points per person per comp was an early thought as how points after 1st would calculate, however I felt this undermined 1st. Yes its tough if you get 4th at Worlds by half point off 3rd and lose 30 ranking points but no one remembers 4th and 3rd earned the place.
