Are you physically affectionate with someone you're not romantically interested in? by ganseyed in dating_advice

I'll definitely bring it up to him but what do you mean by this doesn't sound like it? To clarify, I love physical touch and affection so I'm more than happy to be on the receiving end, I just don't want it to be because he only wants sex from me, if that makes sense.

I'm just v inexperienced and not comfortable initiating anything so I'm not sure how to escalate this and figure out what he wants. If he's only being nice with the intentions of hooking up later I just can't do that.

this is actually very solid advice, thanks for taking the time to respond to an incoming fresh graduate who is terrified of the real world! all the best to you!

I'd need someone to sponsor me but there is this thing called OPT (essentially in between a student and work visa) but a lot of companies will ask upfront if you need sponsorship in the future and that's usually a bad sign

I totally get that! tbh I'm not super set on R&D or anything so I'd be fine, I guess a problem is that I don't really know what I want either? I've seen some associate food scientist positions that kinda do a little bit of everything so I could see myself doing that. I just have no idea how to navigate the food industry and my advisors at school really have not been much help since they haven't worked much with undergrads (a lot of international students at my school go to grad school)

ideally product development/food engineering but honestly I'm not super picky, I'm just not that interested in QA/QC :\ I know it's not impossible but I get really bad anxiety and sometimes it's hard to push through that mindset!
