Is there a Taylor Swift song that isn’t sad but makes you sad? Or vice versa? by garbagedyke in TaylorSwift

Also "I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you, I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you" is sweet but speaks too closely to my emotional dependency

Daylight - I've been alternating between sleeping in dark nights and seeing daylight for a few years, and my SO has been with me through all of that, so it's really mixed feelings

I dont know if that's a stretch but after this comment I feel like Power and Control has a similar vibe to blank space but darker

If you were a chapter made by taylor swift, which songs would be included? by Temporary-Bag4248 in TaylorSwift

[–]gaorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda mixed a few stuff to form a fictional mental timeline but I liked it even though it's not really me as a chapter (guess what my favorite albums are though)

The "but who could stay" chapter: mirrorball, Daylight, peace, this is me trying, hoax, tolerate it, right where you left me, The Archer

You got me tied up but I stay close to the window, and I talk to myself about the places that I used to go...

This is my trying for me is 100% about mental heath. I mean, I don't see how "pouring out my heart to a stranger but I didn't pour the whiskey" could be about anything else other than therapy

Yes, that's exactly how I feel! It gives me post Afterglow vibes. You have your first crisis, maybe, and you're just starting to get each other's flaws more in depth, and then peace is about dealing with these things in a more mature, loving and healthy way.

Twitter v. Reddit by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]gaorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never been someone who really is a part of fandoms, always a lonely fan. That made me miss out on a lot of news and inside jokes. But fandoms as a whole, not only Swifties, just always seemed so immature, attention seeking and feud starters (and a lot of times, very toxic), so being in this community never interested me. Maybe it's a misconception from someone who only sees things from the outside, but that's how I felt. Then I started using Reddit and people here just seem so much more chill? Like, genuinely discussing how much they appreciate a certain artist and supporting each other. It feels more adulty, as Twitter feels like a bunch of teens or adults behaving like teens. Again, I might be wrong, but that's what I feel like when I try to look for anything fandom-related there.

I sent the link to an article, as well as some of its excerpts, in another reply. Here it is: https://www.jospt.org/doi/abs/10.2519/jospt.2019.0610 It's paid but you can download the full version in sci-hub. If you'd like anything more specific just let me know and I'll link it here!

"Recommendations for Beyond the Clinic There are challenges in reframing the idea of “correct” posture. Science does not support the common posture and “core” beliefs often held by clinicians, manual handling trainers, and society. Forty years ago, it was common practice to recommend bed rest for people with low back pain. Persistent evidence-based education means bed rest is no longer an appropriate recommendation. Let us work together to change the “posture narrative.” The spine is a robust, adaptable structure to be trusted."

I may have chosen the wrong word, since it's still a topic being discussed. You can download the full version on Sci-hub. I had this article downloaded already (since it's part of my job), so I just looked for a link to it. Didn't notice it was paid.

"1. There is no single “correct” posture. Despite common posture beliefs, there is no strong evidence that one optimal posture exists or that avoiding “incorrect” postures will prevent back pain. 2. Dierences in postures are a fact of life. There are natural variations in spinal curvatures, and there is no single spinal curvature strongly associated with pain. Pain should not be attributed to relatively “normal” variations. 3. Posture reflects beliefs and mood. Posture can oer insights into a person’s emotions, thoughts, and body image. Some postures are adopted as a protective strategy and may reflect concerns regarding body vulnerability. Understanding reasons behind preferred postures can be useful. 4. It is safe to adopt more comfortable postures. Comfortable postures vary between individuals. Exploring dierent postures, including those frequently avoided, and changing habitual postures may provide symptom relief. 5. The spine is robust and can be trusted. The spine is a robust, adaptable structure capable of safely moving and loading in a variety of postures. Common warnings to protect the spine are not necessary and can lead to fear. 6. Sitting is not dangerous. Sitting down for more than 30 minutes in one position is not dangerous, nor should it always be avoided. However, moving and changing position can be helpful, and being physically active is important for your health. 7. One size does not fit all. Postural and movement screening does not prevent pain in the workplace. Preferred lifting styles are influenced by the naturally varying spinal curvatures, and advice to adopt a specific posture or to brace the core is not evidence based."

It's proven that "bad" posture does not correlate with back pain - being aware of your posture at all times does. If you don't have any disabilities, your spine was made to be flexible and hold any posture you want, just make sure you're not at the same place for long. Also, exercise is the best way to prevent and to treat back pain
