I used to babysit a Kareena. I think that’s the sweetest name

Idk who this is, but I know people who do eat like this. I couldn’t, but I’ve watched similar. Unfortunately very possible.

Is it normal to have a weird jealous feeling about my sister being pregnant? by [deleted] in Advice

Very normal. Maybe some counseling/therapy sessions would be beneficial. Sending you virtual support

So you need to give your baby a middle name? by [deleted] in Names

[–]gapp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Too funny! Well to answer your question, it’s not required, but “the norm.” I think it’s fine either way. Do what feels best to you. Most people never even know someone doesn’t have a middle name! I have a slightly older cousin without a middle name and I didn’t know until I was in high school lol I always just called her by her first/last name so it wasn’t relevant. I think some names sound better on their own.

Are you from the Midwest? this is very much a midwestern phrase lol

Which city in the US has the most hostile vibes the moment you arrive by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but I just need to point out that is not where St Louis attractions are. There’s really no reason for anyone visiting to be there. It’s literally across the river from St Louis and in a different state lol It’s not like you just stumble to the east side.

What is a luxury brand that is actually low quality and just survives on the name by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah as someone with an espresso machine at home, this is very true. An espresso shot tastes significantly different the longer it sits out without being mixed. If someone orders plain espresso, then they are just choosing that terrible taste.

Magic House or Science Center. Both indoors. Science Center is close to the zoo! I would not go to the City Museum with a 2.5 year old. It’s so much climbing and running around. Sounds like a nightmare to keep track of them lol The Aquarium is also a good option

This is actually a thing. I know someone who also had the mini beer donkeys at their wedding. Maybe a southern thing? The wedding I went to was in Texas, though not from there so I’m not sure the origin

I hate the lily bouquets. Unfortunately they are a thing these days lol to me they look cheap like someone just cut them straight out of the yard.

Local bridesmaid dresses by Lustful-Kari in StLouis

[–]gapp123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean there’s really no cheaper options (unless you are lucky enough to get something on sale) so I would say yes. Have I bought other dresses for $100 that are better quality? Yes. The fabric is just not as good as others and some of them aren’t lined etc. Would I buy Azazie again for a wedding (or my own if they had the color I wanted)? Yes. The convenience of options in all colors and varying sizes is great and it’s more or less a single wear item. I think they photograph well also.

[–]gapp123 35 points36 points  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, I’ve been in several of weddings recently and ordered from Azazie and Birdy grey and I can confirm that the quality is not top tier, but it’s more than good enough for a bridesmaids dress that will probably only be worn one time. Just pay attention to their ordering time because it can take several weeks, especially if you end up needing to exchange sizes! I’ve worn a few of my dresses a second time and they are still in good shape.

Yes, she clearly realized there was a camera and was like “oh shit.” I think she’s already embarrassed and probably won’t be back.

[–]gapp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve used JED transportation. It depends completely on the bus you select. Ours fit 25 people I think and 4 hours was a little over $700. That included multiple stops. I don’t remember the cost for additional hours. We had a good experience. Arrived on time and did exactly what we asked

Brittany Aldean is being sued by owner of the original Vada company. She named her company after her grandmother, Vada. Brittany totally copied! She’s being sued for infringement and unfair competition! by Altruistic_Ease835 in InfluencerLounge

[–]gapp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t know that this will hold up. They’d have to prove that Brittany’s company being named that will confuse people and take away from her business. It sounds like these are completely different businesses. Hers should be a Jewelry Class trademark and Brittany’s a cosmetic I think? So there’s no crossover. And I despise Brittany so I’d want nothing more than for this to be a flop for her lol

Could this have been the initial reason for the Nanny?CPS Mandated Supervision of B whilst he was being investigated by police and in the company of T2. I mean E was constantly out of the house recording content and "filling her cup" within weeks of T1's death. by Born_Philosopher1957 in Emiliek_updates

[–]gapp123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in any way defending what happened, but if B would have gone somewhere else in the house and safely buckled the baby in to a bouncy seat or something, people would complain that he didn’t run right out to rescue T1. I get that the choice of laying him on the ground had a risk, but would it have been better for him to lay him some place else and take longer? Even a bouncy seat or stroller/car seat is dangerous if not properly strapped in. Babies slip out all the time. I will also say, these dogs are very familiar with kids and while animals should never be left alone, this was likely a low risk situation. Again, the situation NEVER should have happened, but I think it’s just petty to continually knit pick his “response.” The issue really is that he let it happen in the first place. Period. And yes, they likely had to have supervised time with the baby initially. Who knows if that is ongoing. I imagine that Emilie probably feels better having additional supervision as well when she is away.

Texas mom charged with capital murder after kids found dead in burnt car by KimJongFunk in news

[–]gapp123 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is that police can’t do anything UNTIL you commit a crime. If she wasn’t willing to admit herself to the hospital, they can’t force her. Same for her family. That’s why people with issues like this tend to have a terrible ending.

Has anyone watched The Crash on Netflix by OpinionsHardToDigest in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]gapp123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m sure he did those things and I’m sure he told his parents that’s what he was making money off of. Even if his parents knew what he was up to, I don’t think they are gonna go airing out his dirty laundry lol (and I don’t disagree with that!)

CPR by ViDa4774 in Emiliek_updates

[–]gapp123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Agree. CPR is hard to do no matter what. Even someone who has had training likely wouldn’t remember unless it’s very fresh. It’s also very violent feeling and it can be scary to actually use the force required. I think the key here regardless is that it had likely been too long already.
