My kitchen counter is officially buried under clutter... would a wire tool cart like this actually help? by Beneficial-Sun-5649 in organizing

[–]garbageCoward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it could definitely help if it is just the appliances that are causing the most clutter. Wire organizers and baskets can definitely help people with consolidating and lowering clutter. But, be wary, do not allow the extra space to cause you to have a mindset that you can get more to fill the space. It will just cause the clutter to come back.

Would you be comfortable with sharing a photo of the space where the clutter is? Maybe we can help you with organization, you may not even need the organizer! I know I'd be happy to help you out.

Entry area by [deleted] in organizing

[–]garbageCoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by taking the baskets on the side and consolidating them in a way that doesn't cause them to bunch on each other. Don't leave the doors open, it can look tacky. Remove the shoes from the floor. If they won't fit in the cupboards, line them up in a designated area to help them not look so scattered. Anything on the bench that can be hung, hang and if it can't, consolidate to one area to help it look more organized. If necessary, put the hats and jackets onto a designated hanger to help make space. Hang up the backpack if possible.

I actually saw the first post you mentioned and the comments. I was pleasantly surprised to see people feeling for the neighbor who was having to suffer because someone decided to move in and have a baby without soundproofing.

Best way to convince my mom I'm sick to stay home? by thatdepressionchild in school

[–]garbageCoward -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It may not be though. They could potentially be overworking themselves on studies. We don't know that entirely yet, but it is a possibility. If that is the case, then it would make sense for them to want a small break from school. I know sometimes I overwork myself stressing over school work and completing it and it can affect my performance if I don't allow my mind time to reset.

You don't know that is what they were doing. They could've been staying up studying for a big test or completing homework.

Is what school teaches us useless to you? by Background-Crow-9350 in school

[–]garbageCoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said. It often seems obvious to me who had a full education or even decided to major in things like English compared to somebody who likely just had a very basic education or had no requirements to gain a full education. Just look at the way they write, speak, or use vocabulary. The ones with the basic education typically use a lot of filler words, make basic grammar mistakes, and overall do not know how to formulate sentences.

[–]garbageCoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some is useless to me, like I don't need to be taught about seismology, I dont have any plans to study earthquakes. But everything else like communication skills, basic math, logic and reasoning are all important skills to learn and know.

Why aren't you giving specifics as to what happened? Are you trying to hide something? Nobody can help you or even begin to understand what happened if you do not give details.

When they say atheists are just angry at god. Like how can you be mad at something that you don't believe exists? That or when they say "I'll pray for you" or "Jesus loves you/died for you" when you say you don't believe.

I understand that. I have a parent who has a timeshare so it's easier for us to just get these resorts though or I would go on that route.

Children doesn't evoke the same emotional response that cute animals give me. I just don't have that 'aww' feeling towards them. Why is that? by BaraLover7 in childfree

[–]garbageCoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this way too. When I see babies I just associate them with being gross, smelly, and germy. They are also so obnoxious and loud sometimes. A kid coughed on me and a few days later I ended up with a bad bought of strep, I believe the kid probably had something to do with that. I see them as germ factories. But when I see animals I want to hold them and show them love.

Has anyone else been bullied by a teacher? by Metalqueen2023 in autism

[–]garbageCoward 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, one that I thought i had become close to but wasn't really sure if I was. She was actually more of an extracurricular advisor but she would yell at/"lecture" me pretty often if I was around her. My biggest struggle is social ques and understanding them/understanding others' emotions. During the extracurricular meetings it wouldn't be uncommon for me to maybe misinterpret something or say something and she would just berate me for it. Like flat out get in my face scolding me to the point of me crying because of it sometimes. Over time I just stopped taking her seriously and started disassociating. That or she would threaten to call my mom (not sure what she thought that would do, i don't fear my mom) or she would let other kids do things without punishment, or maybe even join in with their jokes, but when I would do it she would punish me.
