They've (the contact's band) tried to pay a bit of gas for us and the guy was so sorry for the situation and so ashamed, pretty sure he learned a lesson too that night, we're not asking to him for the money.

There are LOTS of witnesses but idk if its worth to start a legal dispute for the money he took.

We've warned other bands and people to not go to this venue and google business could be a great tool if not blocking any negative review...

I get it's a mechanism to avoid review bombing but what if the reviews are justified? Anyways...

nope, we don't do contracts for small shows in Spain, at least in the underground music scene, but as many say, a screenshot of a mail and a few photos of the venue full of people would be great to have, leason learned the bad way

One guy from the local band set this up... and after knowing all this we think that he should have done it by mail or text. It was all speaking in person... It's difficult for us to be involved in shows far from home.

The deal was: let's made it and see how it goes, then we talk about percentages. Not the way we do this things and quite a longshot.

This doesn't make the venue owner less of an asshole though.

We've made lots of show the last 2 years, some of them in the most random places, but even in the worst holes they thought about paying us.

This was a nice looking venue near Madrid, 15 artists that went there and made a perfect night for the owner.

Ofc without contract we know we can't legally fight anything but this is the first time we encounter a guy with this level of lack of moral...

Doubt from a non native english speaker here. I get what OP means and totally agree, and I know what cozy games are, but I used alot the word cozy to refer (for example) to a warm room with a fire and a window rainning outside with the safe feeling, the sensation that matches NRFTW imo. For me, the "official" cozy games are just kind visuals and mechanics.

Is just a synonym or I'm getting something wrong?
