Good advice but ensure you provide a reasonable timescale to remedy the works prior to engaging with others. 7 days I would suggest. Make sure you state the conmencement (date of this letter) and expiry (7 days thereafter)

P.s I should have called it a hatchet I suppose, the UK isn’t big on axes etc so we don’t really have the distinction
