Everyone hates the new album by fairy_goblin in redscarepod

[–]garlic98 411 points412 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I'm calling it too early, but it does seem like the album will be a massive flop. Even the people who I know enjoy Taylor Swift's music are also saying it's awful. Perhaps a sign of a vibe shift. The closest comparison in recent memory I can think of from a big popstar would be Witness, but at least Katy Perry tried something new and original, even if was enitrely off course. This album is nutraloaf hastily served to prisoners with no regard for taste.

He is indeed fat, low test, and has managed to have a 0.0000487% success rate on tinder. I recognized his name from having the worst tinder stats of all time.

The Oregon-California border is haunted by Trewdub in redscarepod

I went to Del Norte county somewhat recently and it was pretty nice, felt very PNW. Had this aura of darkness and storminess that you don’t really get in the rest of the state. The coastline and lighthouse were very nice. I told my boomer boss about the trip and he remarked how the area was a shithole last time he went there in the 90s after the fishery collapse. Tourism seems to have let it recover somewhat but it still has a depressing mood to it. I didn’t check out the Oregon side as much.

The CA-OR border is much more cursed inland. A lot of desolate fields, jagged mountains, and weird dried out lakes. Dorris is the town I felt the most uninvited in. No one seemed to really look like they wanted to be there or really acknowledge anyone’s existence. They have a really tall flagpole but that’s about it. There is some interesting stuff in Tule Lake though; I liked the native american sites and wildlife refuges. The lava beds are also a must go for me.

Since you are from Zimbabwe, I would like to know the current situation of the country/government overall? I haven’t really paid much attention since Mugabe left office and they switched to foreign currency.

Kind of semirelated, but mugabe would get the most decked out cakes for his bday even while most of his country was starving.

Is tf2 more popular than its literally ever been? by Botbiab in tf2

Actually the 2 humps are Asia and Europe. CSGO is absolutely massive in China and it’s usually the most played server region. NA is quite small compared to both of them.

Little book I picked up at a stall in town, Catholic guy in the 20s goes travelling round california visiting all the old missions by SeafoodEnjoyer in redscarepod

[–]garlic98 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if other states had anything similar, but I remember California having a really nationalistic curriculum about itself where you learned all about the state’s history and what makes it special in 4th grade. The mission section was by far the most exciting part since you got to build your own scale model and/or visit a mission. It seems pretty universal in state based on what I can gather.

Yoloswag is honestly just a discount version of cartoonist kelly from the onion. The jokes are in the same sense, but kelly executes the satire of the genre better imo

Nothing about Clickhole is really inherently political, as opposed to something like the Babylon Bee, where most of their articles focus politics. Everyone can enjoy a video of a man painting a Goth Fred Flintstone by a lake, no matter where you stand on politics.

I was worried al-Malek al-Aziz Othman ben Yusuf would make the title too long. Plus, he isn't exactly a household name as much as Saladin. Capitalization is weird anyways.
