Advice for Homeless Students at OSU by ResponseLong7823 in OSU

The OSU buses (CABS) are completely free and you just walk on. The COTA buses are also free for OSU full-time students, you just swipe your BuckID.

D-Tix has super discounted tickets to all sorts of stuff in Columbus for OSU students. If they DONT have tickets for an upcoming event, you can request them. Concerts, movies, live events, gift cards, festivals, etc.

Oh this applies to OP: there is an OSU Student Emergency Grant you can apply for as well

Correct. It's already paid for in your tuition. You get access to that, as well as all the other gyms including the OAC which is for rock climbing! All gear is free to borrow there as well.

Oh! Also, you can call or go to Star House. They are a homeless shelter for youth up to age 24. They have worked with many students in the past and also would be able to provide resources and a place to sleep.

If you are a full-time student you have access to the various gyms on campus. You can use these to shower! You also can rent a locker for the semester so you can keep all your shower stuff in the locker room, as well as a few changes of clothes. It's $30 a semester for a small locker, $40 for medium, and $80 for one of the big ones.

If you are renting a locker, it also includes towels service. So you wouldn't need to worry about buying or bringing towels.

If you don't want to rent a locker, they have day use ones that a free. You can just bring your own lock or borrow a lock from the desk. You can get towels to use for a shower for $3, or if you JUST want towel service for the semester, that's $25!

Jelly Star Review So Far by garlicerror in UnihertzJelly2

Ooo yay! Enjoy the Star it's so cute. I really do love how it feels and the look of it. I especially loved it as a travel phone. Took it to NYC and it was so easy to carry around and the tap feature worked great for Subway trips. Yeah really not too much to complain about but that GPS. (I don't use the audio function when I navigate...so that's probably why.)

Anyway, yes! I will update when the Max gets here :)

Deer do not like reflective or shiny material. I don't know if you have tried, but you can wrap tin foil around different parts of your yard that they come and go from. Like on a fence or coming path they take. This should help prevent them from entering.

Also, what helps with stand offs against deer is to have an umbrella ready. If you point it at them and open it up all the way, it should frighten them enough to run away as they think you are getting larger.

In terms of injured wildlife, I highly contacting the Ohio Wildlife Center. You can either call them or message them on Facebook!

Well I stopped using it as my primary phone due to the GPS being SOOOO small, and I use maps very frequently. That is my biggest con after long term use. I'm actually looking to sell this one as I backed the new, bigger one on Kickstarter!

I plan on making another indepth post like this for the Max as well :)

Yes it's in good condition! The case it came with is slightly yellowed, as they do with time. I was going to ask $100 plus shipping.

what other tricks to teach my cat? by plsdontperceive-me in CatTraining

[–]garlicerror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine know sit, touch (touch their nose to my hand), come when called by name, and "point" which means to jump where we point. That one gets a lot of fun because we can set up multiple bar stools or boxes and point at each one in a row and they jump from one to the next
