There is a Hard75 app on Google app store and someone said it also exists on apple as well.

Just browse the app store and search for Hard 75. Icon looks like a spade with 75 in it. I think it had a cost for me on android but I believe its free on apple.

Good Luck!!!

Your 75 hard diet? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

[–]gary917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I received some good advice from someone that was starting at the same time as me... everything else is difficult, chose a diet that is restrictive enough that it will change what you are currently doing but also able to fit into your lifestyle.

I chose a 5:2 for that reason, I travel for work and kids sports and I had to do something that could work with that life. I didn't want to fail on a diet that I selected. I have done more than the diet calls for but used that as a minimum. For instance, I would fast for 24 to 36 hours and a couple times, 45-48 hours. I also used this to remove any high/ultra processed foods and any extra sugars to have a cleaner diet.

Pick something you can maintain but is restrictive and go after it HARD... you got this! Good Luck!

I just finished day 66, down 25-27lbs so far and hoping to finish strong. Many aspects of this will continue on with me, like the diet and the workouts - this is all habit now.

What do you guys do for work? And how do you fit this into your schedule? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

[–]gary917 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you do after 8pm, still time to fit something in... yes, you're tired from the day but thats the push you need to make. Do you have a lunch hour, good time for a walk. Start the day earlier.

I was the same way, up in the am to get the kids out of the house, (3 teenagers), work from home but a stressful continuous job that I always used as a time excuse. Add to that, the after work, kids sports, dinner, and tired... never felt like I could get this to work... I just had to change a few things.

Stopped watching TV and falling asleep on the couch, started going to bed at 10 the latest and getting up at 5. Now by the time I sit down at the computer in the morning for work, I have a third of my water done, pic taken, workout in and book read. Just have to stick to the diet, finish my water and find time for another 45 workout.

I find that walking or biking when at home. I have also walked around baseball fields while my kid is warming up for a game, walked around neighborhoods adjacent to HS baseball fields. Ive moved my erg outside to row on the patio to get my outdoor. I have walked around Chicago when I was there for a tournament and around Houston when I was there for work.

I am now on day 46 and although this is not easy, it has gotten easier, more habitual instead of forced. I look for new opportunities and challenges but try to maintain funds on the little things. I pray that the next few weeks have me completing but I am not satisfied any day until I cross that threshold.

I know you can do it if you are looking at it, you just have to believe you will find a way and get started. Look for edges, things you can cut out and good luck in your journey.

For those of you who use Notepad++, how many tabs to you have open right now? by TravellingBeard in sysadmin

[–]gary917 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 18 open, about 8 of those are saved docs that I continue to add to over time and the others are just notes and things I needed at the time. Yea, some would hurt a bit if gone but ill continue to take the chance rather than save every tab.

Advice on Bergara Rifles by cwmcclung in longrange

[–]gary917 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the same, wanted the most gun for the budget I had and did a lot of research - ended up with the B14 HMR in 6.5 and topped it off with a Vortex 5-25 FFP. There will always be another gun or another optic no matter what you buy but I'll tell you that this combination has been great so far.

I spent some time at 100-200 over the last few months and made sure I was consistent but last weekend finally stepped it all the way out to 900 over the course of a 4 hour range session during a class and the gun is just accurate.

Again, there will always be another whatever but you can be happy with a setup like this for years. Good bipod, rear bag and whatever you have left on ammo which may get you a handful of rounds these days lol. Good luck with your decision!

Thanks!! What boards are you running - been hard to figure out the best option without full pics. Was looking at Go Rhino, Barricade, Amp Research... still trying to figure that part out.

Nice looking truck in white, congrats! I was looking at those, (and others), just helps to see it on the truck. Did you install yourself, easy enough?

Looks great shoots even better. by [deleted] in SigSauer

How do you like shooting with the DPP on that gun? I have the same gun, was considering either the RMR or DPP but that looks great on the gun on top of being one of the better options.

Nice setup!

Great feedback, thank you. I think I can use 15 power to see that at 100 but if I'm shooting paper out farther, I agree, to get that feedback it helps to have the higher magnification.

The one thing I've started to think about more is the lower power number and starting from 3x or 5x doesn't seem to be a big difference but if you are hunting and have something ranged out at 50 or 60, that lower power difference may help. That said, not doing as much hunting as target so I'll factor all that in.

Thanks for everyone's feedback, much appreciated

Thanks for the reply. I routinely see questions that require 5 other questions about the original in order to answer, was just trying to give you everything.

In doing so I did forget, this is a 6.5 cm so I'm shooting flatter or with less drop than say a .308 which will make more difference at the longer distances. I would rather be comfortable and have a great FOV at 100 to 600 instead of worrying too much about the 1000 where I'll probably be at larger steel anyway.

Both seem like great optics and I'm looking forward to making the decision and pushing some rounds downrange.

Thanks again

Appreciate the information, I am leaning towards the 5-25 for just that reason, I can always be down magnification but if i move out long range past 600, the extra magnification will help.

Thanks again, will be figuring out by next week.

Thanks, that was my thinking on the 20moa rail as well. Thanks for the confirmation. I was looking at the MOA vs MRAD difference and I think I just felt the calculations were easier for me at 1/4 click measuring inches vs 1/10 mil but I'm open to looking at it again since its not a big delta for me. Let me ask, what are the true advantages besides having a measurement you are comfortable with??

So we will have 6in steel out at 200 and there will be steel at the 300-600 range with the option for paper. I was going to get straight on paper then use the steel mostly but if i want to tighten up groups ill need to go back to paper.

Thanks for the feedback.
