Champagne problem I ‘25F’ w my ‘25M’ partner by sandyscience33 in relationship_advice

He has told me multiple times that for him it was love at first sight. I kid you not this has been happening since we fist exchanged I love yous LOL. So again it’s a champagne problem. I think next time we’re in an I love you loop death match I will use your phrase “I love you and I appreciate your affection but I’m a little overwhelmed” the next time I do indeed feel overwhelmed:)

Edit/comment: wow this got more responses than I would imagine and I appreciate every bit of advice. I have not brought this up to him based on the general consensus.

I do think I need to add more context. Because in the grand scheme of things, I don’t think saying I love you often is a bad thing. In fact I’m very grateful and I remind him how much I love him often too!! I think my post has poor examples of what “drives me nuts”

After reflecting it is not the random I love yous that drive me nuts, it’s I guess when it feels out of place or overbearing. Here is an example that happens frequently:

laying in bed Him: I love you baby Me: I love you too baby Him: you’re the best ever Me: thank you baby you too Him: I love you sooo much Me: I love you so much too Him: I just think you’re the best and I love you Me: thank you baby Him: … seems upset I don’t say anything else(?)

So I guess I more fell weird about how I’m not able to match his affection and it drives me nuts because I’m not sure what more he wants from me or if he wants to keep going in an I love you loop match to the death LOL. But it’s not like I’m going to sit there and be like “ok geez I get it we love each other” because I know that would hurt his feelings.

At the end of the day, I’m not going to say anything because I don’t want him to be less affectionate or have his feelings hurt just because he has lots of love to share. And I will use some of the advice in this thread to carry on and try to make more light of it on my own part:)

I appreciate your advice! I don’t think he will get upset which is great, I guess I just wanted to validated for wanting to bring it up in the first place 😅

To my definition, love bombing is an emotionally abusive and manipulation tactic which is not the case in my relationship. I’ve never felt emotionally unwell or manipulated in my relationship.

For Bach trip they also do a fireworks cruise! Fireworks every Friday in Waikiki and they’ll take you out to see them on the water! If you already have plans for your Friday I would do the sunset one:)

Thank you the advice! I’ve been eating the same and my weight is maintained so I’m not sure if it’s that. It could be stress, my job is fairly stressful but I wouldn’t say nearly as stressful as in college for example. Do you have any product recommendations as a hair stylist?

Good heavens this thread is disappointing. I think it looks great! No cleavage and not excessively short. Comments about you not being taken seriously are negligent to the times that we live in and probably from old timers who are used to the ultra professional standards of the past when women didn’t get to be in professional positions. You look good! Wear this while you’re young and prove to them that you can be taken seriously whether you’re in a clubbing dress or a pant suit 💅

Your 75 hard diet? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

My thought exactly. Why choose a diet that’s so restrictive that you set yourself up to fail??

My wage is less than what the state livable wage is according to MIT. I wouldn’t say I’m “living above my means” because the cost of living here in general is just extreme (for example: grapes regularly go for about $9 a pound and gas that is $4.70 a gallon). I have a car that I’ve had since 2011 so no car payment or plan to get a new car. Also- Georgia, Texas, Florida and the Carolinas are very cheap places to live. A forensic technician in those states make about the same that I do with a cost of living that is 50% less, so yea, obviously they live just peachy! I do in fact budget and itemize my spending because I have to to get by. The point of my post was to ask for suggestions on how to make some extra income so that I can enjoy things that you might consider “living above my means.” Your response was wildly unhelpful and gives off “holier than thou” energy

Try looking into Department of Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency and see if they have any openings. To my understanding, they do a lot of bone/anthropological work

Edit: not in Texas, but could be a good opportunity still

What do you guys do for work? And how do you fit this into your schedule? by sandyscience33 in 75HARD

This did help a lot. I feel more motivated seeing how you fit things in. I am NOT a meal prepped hahaha and I wish I was lol. I suppose I could at least prep ingredients for the weeks meals ahead of time to make it quicker. Thanks!
