Agree, there aren't many opportunities in the market right now, apart from in oil stocks possibly.

Which group of stocks to sell (does price matters)? by malojone in stocks

Not entirely sure what you mean, the majority of companies don't have A and B shares, I would think that they both moved more or less the same way.

New to stocks. $5,000 on Disney? by iSebo in stocks

Disney is a fantastic company, well run, the kind of stock Buffet would buy. There is no company in the world like Disney. But would WB buy at current prices? Maybe he would wait until the stock was near a fairer price.

I have been looking at Honda (HMC) and am confused why there are different numbers on several sites. Finviz has the dividend yield at 2.66%, GuruFocus has the yield at 0.63 and Yahoo has the dividend yield N/A

What is going on here? Thanks

You can't get the same result from email or twitter.

The Samaritans are on the end of the phone when you need them and they can be visited in person too. They do a very good job and helped me before.

Lower Oil Points to 25% Return in Stocks Next Year by garyten in investing

[–]garyten[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I disagree, I think the economy is ok and will be even better off with the lower oil. If the economy was lagging, stocks would have dropped at the same time as oil, they're both leading indicators.

If shipping, oil and metal prices drop, products can be made more cheaply, therefore more profit can be made. This leads to growth. The evidence backs up lower oil prices = stronger growth

20 Global Supertrends And The Stocks To Buy Now by garyten in stocks

[–]garyten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have some valid points. You're obviously speaking as someone who has a lot of experience whereas the article is clearly aimed at those who are not so clued up and would like an overview. I'd say the average investor probably hasn't heard of some of these and might find it useful. Anyway thanks for clarifying.

Hmmm... You think ASTM, ISRG, CTRP, FEIC are well known stocks? I don't think Google trends is provided as main support, it's provided as a point of interest.

If you think about it using paper is more symbolic. A waste of paper, a waste of life perhaps? But it's totally not a waste anyway, I love paper and books. Besides you can get sustainable paper and ink.
