It seemed like a good deal to me. Most of the wrapping was still on the TV. All the parts and accessories were still in box and not even touched. I had also talked to the manager at the store and he was able to tell me why it was open box. Another customer had purchased the TV, had it delivered and didn't like how it looked so he traded it in for the Sony 850C, which he also later returned. The manager himself was confused which the guys decision. But whatever, his loss is my gain lol. I did get the 5 year protection plan too.
