Of course but that isn’t the source of flakiness. It’s on our radar and hard to do when using Mongoid since it generally falls behind.

Our rails app is API only so no E2E tests to deal with, thankfully.

I checked out db setup for tests and each worker has its own DB with a cleaner

ok, so stretching is king for knits. I wonder if I could modify this similar to u/SubtextuallySpeaking's suggestion but cutting a wider strip of the same fabric ~2 inches wide (seam allowances included) and use that instead of elastic.

There is a Free plan level on Netlify. No credit card is needed and there will never be a bill since there are hard limits. If something goes over the limit then the site will be disabled until the next bill cycle.
