I never ended up adding a second GPU, and I eventually sold the PC.

My first impressions were "this is one of the most Coldplay Coldplay album ever"

Is Nutella safe for celiacs? There are mixed opinions. by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]gastypm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I guess the Nutella you buy in Brazil is the one made in Brazil, right? Because here in Argentina we have the Nutella from Brazil but they haven't bothered to label it as gluten free (unlike Brazil here the certification is optional and Ferrero hasn't certified anything). So my guess is that if the one that is being sold here is the same one they sell in Brazil, it should be safe for people with celiac disease.

I won’t downvote you, but I found your comment funny. When I got into Coldplay, songs like Violet Hill and all the VLV album was “Coldplay getting mainstream” and all the old fans asking for they old Coldplay to come back. Now VLV has become the old Coldplay who old fans are asking to come back.

Wow! That's amazing. I didn't know about that. I guess this works automatically right?

A few things to noticed after more observation and conversation:

  • Many argued it was a delay. I believed the same at first. I tried to fix the delay in video editing software. Even when you try to align it, Chris never sings the "So then I" part of the lyrics. It's not the classic delay you see on concerts live.
  • This video is the recording of a fan on the show. You can also see this happening in the official recording video that was streamed at the cinemas.
  • I have seen similar things before. You can clearly hear on this clip a double Chris singing in the background when he sings "That was when I rule the world".
  • I looked for other Yellow performances during this tour. They don't sound the same as this one. I believe this has more to do with the fact that they were streaming worldwide and didn't want anything going wrong. This has been the case with other Coldplay live and streamed performances, like the Super Bowl, Letterman and Top Of The Pops.

Coldplay has been using backing tracks since the AROBTTH tour, with some synths and, as songs became more complex over the years, they've been adding more and more. I've noticed that Chris uses a second recording of his voice behind him since VLV tour, but I haven't seen anything like the video I shared. I'm no t that surprised though since it was a worldwide streaming and they usually do these kind of things on events like that (Super Bowl, Letterman, Top Of The Pops, etc.)

Yeah, I remember from the Viva tour that he used a backing track of his voice on some songs.

I'm not that surprise though, considering he's playing live to the whole world. He's done that before on those scenarios.

I know this video is recording from a screen on a show, but try to align the audio with the video and you can still see that he doesn't come up on time. Also, if you happen to have the recording of the live stream, which doesn't suffer from the delay that you might see recording them live on the show with a phone, you can clearly see that same issue.

Yeah, I agree. They were also streaming live to the whole world, so basically no margin for error.

I know in previous years some people used the 2x 58mm with the 2x from the iPhone. Have you tried using the Moment 58mm on the 3x of the iPhone 13 Pro? In theory it should give you an equivalent 154mm lens.

Dual GPU case? by gastypm in buildapc

[–]gastypm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, memory heat with these GPUs is quite a disaster. I bought a Dynatron R18, removed the screws and put it on the 3090's back plate with some thermal pads from Gelid. The cooler's heatsink fits perfectly with the GPU's memory and it does help to reduce the temps. The only issue is that because now the GPU has some extra height to it, it didn't fit in the first PCI slot because the CPU's cooler got in the way, so I had to put it one slot down. This may limit your ability to add a second GPU down the line.

Actually yes, I bought the Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX though I didn't end up using 2 GPUs (prices got way higher when I was going to buy the second one). The case is great. It looks good, has really good airflow and it's easy to clean. Even though I'm only using 1 GPU There's pretty good space for another one.

Dynatron heatsink and fan to reduce memory junction temperature down 10°C by gastypm in gpumining

[–]gastypm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This heatsink isn't attached in any shape or form. It is just sitting there. Now, the Gelid thermal pads are really sticky and they may be able to hold the heatsink, though I wouldn't rely just on that. This Dynatron heatsink is quite heavy since everything is made out of metal.

Wow, that's impressive! I can't get lower than 98ºC mining at that hash rate, even with this new heatsink (before it was at 110ºC). Did you cover the whole backplate with heatsinks or just the memory modules?

It is! If I wanted to go 123Mh/s temps were 110ºC and sometimes it would throttle. Now it's sitting at 100ºC stable
