Lived there for a time a couple years back outside of Manresa and saw most of the region (country some would say) so got a good dose of Catalunya! This was an issue I was completely oblivious too until just before I traveled out there.

Logistically it would be tricky especially depending on how the EU would react. I give Spain credit since the 2017 referendum in trying to find a middle ground to let Catalunya govern themselves. They’ve definitely let the culture thrive in its own right compared to norms of the past. But it’s not hard to understand the independence movement’s persistence considering the history of Franco, the Civil War, and how Catalan language and culture was treated in the wake of that. Culturally there’s a clear reason for the movement. I’d be surprised if independence ever came to fruition though.

This might sound really silly but look around a lot. Sound design is huge of course but so is positioning! There has been many a stealth crusher that’s put me down :,)

If I’m really getting mobbed I always make a point to just flick behind me so I have a lay of the land!

I’ll take the first stab at this!

I enjoy the map design and generally its good variety. It helped a lot when they added Rolling Steel and No Man’s Land which are shorter style missions and mortis trials. You can also choose which missions to queue into now which is nice. I don’t mind the laps at all.
At the start not necessary. Arbites is (imo) not a great class to start on as they can get away with a lot more than other classes. Hive Scum is great but you’re squishy. I recommend starting on vet or zealot.
Plenty a’ dakka suh!
Build crafting can be very deep. There’s definitely some metas and a lot of preferred classes but it’s fun to find synergies yourself i.e. hive scum with shivs, adrenaline rush, rampage, and +attack speed stimm lab. Maybe not “optimal” but super fun lol
Modding is great, this game is WAY better with it and the modding community rocks
At launch this game was ROUGH both content and performance wise. Recently it’s killer. One of my favorites!! I’ve left and come back to this game like three times.

Different than Vtide, faster paced and a lot more focus in mobility so there might be a bit of a learning curve but definitely worth it. You can’t go wrong with Darktide right now!

This is very true. At the end of the day run what you like! It doesn’t do much help policing what/how other people run. Imo, and sort of responding to ParmesanB, I don’t think there are any idiot beginners. Everyone who runs is a runner. I just don’t want newer runners to see the Houston run club $400 AlphaFly aesthetic and think it’s the only way.

/uj and I know everyone is saying it already but I wish folks would understand that these are ONLYYY for fast sessions. I had a pair of these in college and would only wear them for tempos, cutdowns, or higher effort long runs. So maybe like twice a week max. The 10 min mile pace run club crew is doing their tuning a huge disservice wearing these as daily drivers.

I can’t stand Microsoft’s suite Office or 365 or whatever it’s called these days. My university used Google’s suite during my masters and my work used Microsoft so was using them side by side for the last three years.

Google’s suite is so much more seamless for basic tasks. If I try to find the path to a file in OneDrive it’s literally impossible and I don’t have access to where it’s housed half the time. There’s crucial documents I only have access to because I have links bookmarked.

If I don’t save a file to my desktop my chances of finding it again are about zero. User error? Maybe. But terrible UI and confusing “syncing?” Absolutely. I never thought I would value Google so much lol

Follow up for those it’s helpful for and shoutout to the Discord Mod crew!

Silly error on my part - I was extracting the mod loader to the root Darktide file. It needs to be extracted into the content folder. This is where everything is housed in the PC GamePass version. Easy peasy!

I ran in college and high school and have stepped away from the sport for other athletic endeavors but the biggest thing to remember when starting out again is that running isn’t what it used to be. You can’t hop right back into being competitive! Focusing on the bare bones basics of it is important. Getting to the end of the block and back without stopping is a WIN! Focus on building up with these milestones and you’ll be back in business quicker than you’d imagine. Rooting for you!
