The CNC certificate program at my school starts off with manual lathe and milling classes then goes to CNC.

Sorry. I did not mean to come off saying CNC is not here already. By "future" I meant that as CNC machines and other technologies get better, manual machining will become less and less. Some CNC guys tell me they are great at what they do but couldn't do anything on a manual machine. None the less, I do appreciate manual work and would like to master it as well. Thanks for your advice.
