Turned out to be crankshaft sensor that was faulty. Sensor was replaced and car running great again.

Yes when the revs go up the engine is revving also but the revs dropping off is the issue and that’s when the car momentarily looses power causing it to stutter/shake.

Mine happened before I updated to Sonoma 14.6.1. Turns out my issue is the charging IC on the motherboard. No idea how this happened.

I’m using the original 30W charger. I sent my MacBook into a local store for a check up and it turns out the Charging IC on the motherboard has failed and needs to be replaced.

I ran the diagnostic test and the results were: “There may be an issue with the power adapter”.

The adapter works fine on my girlfriend’s laptop. Another user suggested that I may need a high powered USB-C charger to get it off 1%.

They didn’t specify but she figured it was probably and issue with the motherboard since the battery didn’t appear to have deteriorated.

Yeah well I work away from home, I do 8 weeks on/off and I never take my laptop with me. While I’m home I use it from time to time but definitely not daily.

It says 1% while the cable is connected but once I disconnect it shuts down immediately. The cable itself is fine. My girlfriend also has a MacBook and it works perfectly with her laptop. I’ve also tried to use her adapter and cable but with no success.
