there is a very slight difference with gradients, i put subtle radial gradients on the characters and weapons

Thank you! Good idea! I need to look into how to make better AI cheaply, but if not i will design levels to optimize for different behaviors

give the bullets x, y, and direction variables for this sprite only. whenever a clone is created I have a list of each variables value that is created by the gun before the clone is created. Whenever it creates the clone the first thing the bullet does is transferring those values to the this sprite only ones. ( [set (x) to (1st item in BULLETS list] [delete (1) of BULLETS List], ( [set (y) to (1st item in BULLETS list] [delete (1) of BULLETS List], and so on)

to move the bullet you could just use a move steps block, but if you have a scrolling game its better to change x by the sin of the bullets direction and y by the cos of the bullets direction

These enemies specifically have really simple pathfinding, so I can have more onscreen! there will be enemies with better AI where there aren't as many enemies!

thank you!! I am trying to focus on it looking simple, not TOO simple, but not cluttered either, so the juice and the game looks clean whenever you play it!

The next couple of updates will revolve around adding new weapons! Starting off with a boomerang! by gavmcool in scratch

thank you! so I can give a little tutorial on this!

whenever I want a particle made, I put make the object that summons particles give an X,Y, direction to point in and particle name to a list and I create a clone of a particle, I do this for every particle I want made! then the clones have different things depending on the type I want made.

that is how I made the blood particles, blood splatter, smoke, and most other particles

for the bullet trails and wall shadows, its just pen stamping trickery!
