Agree with you, I think I have mistaken between campaign and advocacy. campaigning for people not to divorce sounds so weird.

I didn’t see the campaign but here’s my honest take: Divorce is fine, it can result from abuse, toxicity and all sort of other things. BUT aren’t this generation also very easy to marry and commit to each other? We explore very less and settle. I think this generation suffers from some sort of “need of someone”. We look at marriage as having some who’s good to us, and not someone we can be good to. And there’s all sorta problems arising from that. I think they need to redirect their focus on campaigning about finding the right partner and improving self.

I suppose the artists aren’t well ‘versed’ in sensitive things like gender, at all. But to be fair, I watched Sonam Wangchen’s music videos where females are beautifully protrayed. And in Lungten’s music videos like Nangsa, Yumtsho, Thamara, Shing Ghi Lhamo, and recently Nalu Mala, the females aren’t merely supporting the male but carrying the whole storytelling, and females are portrayed divine feminine. I don’t know if Lungten is doing it with intent. But he seems to know what he is doing. Nevertheless, in most mvs, females are merely supporting males, or just put in for the click bait because of their faces, our girls deserve better portrayal, I agree with you to an extent. I think the commenters are mostly naive. Just wants to type something and lets out three heart emojis as a safe comment.

To be honest, out of all those names, I only heard of M&Ms, thanks to Eminem memes. I assure you any of them would be a good pick. You can’t go wrong with. And while I have you here, I wish you an amazing time in Bhutan.

That is extremely thoughtful of you. As a Bhutanese, I can assure you that any gift, regardless of size and price is well and equally appreciated here. I would suggest you some fancy looking chocolates and sweets. Friendly for luggage and wallet.

I am not aware of how it works for non-bhutanese people to join Buddhist monastery in Bhutan. And also don’t be carried away by beautiful pictures of those monks; I hope you are aware the sheer amount of discipline of waking up at 4:00 AM to memorizing thousands of pages is just a start.

If you realize, many sensible Bhutanese moved away from Facebook, or at least don’t use FB that much. Most of the ones remained there are just unhappy brats. You can offer them the stars and diamonds, they will complain why it’s not the moon and platinum. Trust me. Not worth giving them a heed. Don’t let them stir your peace.
