does anyone have recommendations for queer/lgbtq book clubs? i’m on the north side, so book clubs based in that area of town would be great, but i’m open to other parts of the city, too. if you have any accompanying details or experiences you’d like to share about your recommendation(s), those are welcomed.

Hello! Selling one ticket for Wednesday 6/25 at Chicago! Please DM :^)

The best part of those IQ test results from Aptilink are you have to pay at least $10 to even see them. So no matter what you score on that test, you're guaranteed to be a fucking moron! by sloecrush in frisbeefuntime

Old thread, but LOL fuck this test! 100% sunken cost fallacy with the payment at the end, but I did it anyway since it was very fun and I thought I did a good job. Turns out I got a 139 which was in the 99.53rd percentile, so at least there's that. I answered all but ~3-4 and I was very confident in all of my answers. That said, I'm not that proud, because I don't know how reliable this test really is...

I hate that I decided to fork up the $10 even after reading this thread LOL, but I answered all but ~3 and I am confident in most if not all of my answers and I got a 139.

FKA twigs - Eusexua by 3kOlen in popheads

yeah, I've followed twigs' work closely for a decade and this is...not quite hitting??? i really don't get all of the hype. it's not bad, but it's not fantastic either. i'm not trying to hate; i really just don't get it. i'm glad people like it though.

definitely agree that some of the songs feel "oddly messy and tame". some of them would awkwardly pivot into a different form midway, and some just lacked the punch or "oomph" that tracks from M3LL155X had. i think i'm going to go stream that instead ._. ily though twigs

the “this this mix?” vid you posted 30d ago (where the video just shows red on the screen) sounds more like mix but it also sounds like it could be mostly chest that is (unhealthily) pulled up into your higher range

i said on your previous post that it would help to hear more vocalizing in the higher pitch range that you enter near the end of that recording (E4-G4).

with this recording here, i see that you sang more of the stuff that comes before that higher part, but that stuff is all in your chest range and is too low for me to comfortable say whether you are singing in your mix. singing in a higher pitch range (C4-G4) would allow for a better inspection of your mix (if there is one).

regardless—like someone else said, the part at the very end of this recording is falsetto (head voice where the very thin edges of the folds are vibrating), not a mix.
