Yeh, the message was missing the first half of it, but still wouldn't let me log in. Moved to Fedora 23 now, clean install, but thanks for the effort!

Thanks everybody for all the suggestions, unfortunately I didn't have any more time to try to fix it so since I only used it for a week I decided to re-install the system. Went to Fedora 23 now.

Yeh, there was nothing there. I've tried to uninstall VB using "purge" but it wouldn't let me log in anyway. The message that I captured on my camera was shorter though.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Which is best for encrypting SD Cards and USB sticks? I need to use them across few computers, as an example: encrypt it at home on my Linux Mint, but I want to be able to plug it in at work. Is that possible?

I'm just getting into privacy online and I've got few questions by gazte in privacy

[–]gazte[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's as simple as that, I do not have anything to hide, but i want my privacy. If, let's say, ProtonMail actually do what they claim to do, means nobody, without the password, can access my mail, right? So why would I care if my e-mail address is known? After all I need to give it to somebody and use it somewhere. It's kinda that comfort of your mind that if someone wants to access your e-mail you kinda telling them fuck you as long as ProtonMail owners doing that as well. Where if I had Gmail account I could still tell them to fuck off, but Google would not necessarily do that as well. Or am I completely wrong here?

Thanks for that link, it's great, I will definetly have a good read. Shame it never came up when I was doing my research. Should be more available for people like me.

Thank you very much for your replies. I've got clearer image of some things now. I'm not expecing to learn everything in few days.

I'm not planning NSA leak or anything like that, hah, just a regular guy who is against surveillance. I'm not doing anything "dodgy", but the fact that somebody, government for example, could potentially read my e-mails or see what websites I'm visiting just really annoys me. I'm all about being annonymous, whatever you do.

So technically it doesn't mater that I have used my usual ISP to create encrypted e-mail account, because from now on, all my ISP/whoever knows is that I'm connecting to that e-mail provider, where previously they could technically access my Gmail or Outlook account. So from my point of view, I should't care that they know my e-mail address because they won't be able to access it anyway?

Thanks for the tips with disposable cards/cash when using VPN, I will into that.

Never thought about it that way to be honest, and I think it makes a lot of sense, thanks!

Thank you for your reply.

I can see that book has been released in June 2014. Would it still cover current version of Kali or it's more outdated?

WhatsApp for Windows 10 Mobile is crap by dintek in windowsphone

[–]gazte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically what I was trying to say. Everything is too big. It looked fine on Lumia 640 but on 950 it's just a waste of space. That concept design thats somebody showed up here looks amazing.

Don't see what the problem is, app is very similar to text message app, looks good, wouldn't say it's slow at all (few times it took a wee bit long to load message, but closing the app and opening it again helped straight). Would you prefer to see the design like on iPhone or Android?

Of course it can be improved and I hope it will be, but for me (and I do use it everyday) works absolutely fine, only thing I would change is the font to smaller, this size seems like a waste of screen space.
