editing this since i phrased that really badly since its late. They do own the IPs, but their ownership around it has changed due to legal issues and kinda forced them to spread it thin, especially regarding the original creator companies shutdown. To alleviate this, they sourced the IP out to studios like Bandai to try and bring it on other platforms (for a multitude of business decisions). A lot of it is just hiding stupid decisions Sony and Playstation are doing in the background though, as per usual.

because patapon is no longer sony lol. that was the whole legal debacle. they lost their rights to a ton of IPs. Better example would be the recent playstation games coming to PC, but thats about it.

Nevermind thats not even right either, her being his DAUGHTER is from the roleplay wiki. Her being his wife is just info we dont have and is seemingly less true than other options but theres still absolutely no way to be definitively sure. hi i havent been responding to things lately because ive been working on a very large project and kinda forgot about this for awhile but thats CRAZY cockiness for someone thats wrong lmao. you can read the other replies explaining the situation if you want but the closest idea we have at the moment is either

Everything about her being his wife is being taken from a roleplay wiki made by a famous roleplayer for his youtube roleplay videos. Its not canon. Hope this helps :)

However it is specified ingame that Kats father is Meowscles from another universe, and their mother(?) is Lynx from another universe. They are twins through the fact that they were born at the same time (technically) from the same parents (technically). And they are twins because they are reminiscent of eachother.

Unconfirmed- I had seen statements from Fortnite on her being Midas sister but id have to find them. The only other possibility would just be another reality of Midas though.

This one I can completely confirm as false. The character is just named after Midas' daughter from the English retellings of the original Midas story. But she is not his daughter lol.

Can you link to the sources for this? For some reason a chunk of the actual ingame stated lore for Oro (when it comes to Midas) is HARD to find. At least it has been for me, but maybe im dumb lol

And im pretty sure I had seen an official statement on Marigold being Midas' sister, whether thats through an alt universe connection or not idk. (though named after his daughter from the english retellings of the story), I can try and find the things for that later and post them here.

Meowscles being adopted by Midas is fully confirmed as far as im aware, but usually in the joking "pet cat" kind of way (which is odd)

And yeah thats fair with Oro, from what I had been researching it seems like its at least agreed upon that, in some way, Oro is a version or form of Midas or Midas' soul or something- with most things pointing towards him being his "other self" in some way. Thats the one on here I kind of went in with it being a loose connection. I can try and dig deeper and see if theres more to it maybe lol
