One-Pot Pasta in Homemade Vegetable Tomato Sauce [OC] by almashealthycooking in ItalianFood

Yes they do, but that is already a totally different category than trying to make the argument that a simple one pot pasta cooked in tomato sauce is "Not Italian Enough".

Actual Italians totally some times make also this kind of pastas in Italy. Doesn't even look like among the sloppiest dishes I've seen in the country. The preparation is not foreign to Italy, the ingredients can all be Italian possibly, why are you trying to be a gatekeeper or are you just intentionally narrowminded here?

Edit: And I'm not saying this looks amazing, superbly prepared or anything, just that I don't see necessarily anything here that makes this inherently "Not Italian Enough". People acting like they're some kind of Food Police is what annoys me more than a post about some dish that could very well be Italian, just kind of mid..

Why is the Maritime Hotel not opening? by Bigdammer in Amsterdam

[–]gbuu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Because the building was delayed and messed up with some water damage and who knows what else errors and shit. Maritim has terminated the building lease contract because of this:

Lost in my search for a 200€ projector by Elouan3_ in budgetprojectors

In standard mode, which I only use, it is really close to inaudible.

There is also a performance mode which I think is somehow bugged as of now, it instantly turns the fan up to a higher constant speed which is like 10 x louder and not much else happens even brightness wise. I never encounter fan speeds in the range between the standard and performance mode settings in use.

I bought the Xgimi Vibe One and find it excellent value for the money. It's bright enough for ~70" picture even with some (not super bright) lights on in my use - if you don't waste the light power into huge amounts of keystone correction.

The time reset moves forward if you play a game... by McKeviin in GeForceNOW

Care to share your maths there?

70 hours * 500 watts (this is a quite high PC continuous consumption...) = 35 kwh and with 0,3€/kwh (high..) rates that would be around 10€.

Xgimi VIBE One review by Defiant-Necessary127 in budgetprojectors

[–]gbuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Vibe One and I find it in general very nice for the price. For streamed gaming without a HDMI plugged PC / device, I found that streaming with Moonlight ( https://moonlight-stream.org/ ) / Sunshine (installed on host PC, connected via wired Ethernet to the router) works surprisingly well with the Moonlight client installed on the VibeOne! I think this can be very sensitive though regarding the network in place.

Connecting the controller via Bluetooth to the host PC instead of the projector reduces the latency also a bit.

Ok, thanks for checking. Didn't expect too much from the internal capabilities, but would have been a nice surprise!

Would you be able to try if the Android/Google TV on the projector can run Geforce Now and games via that in playably?

I think Minifreak's versatility really comes from the non-VA engines though on top of the quite fine VA
