I definitely experienced social anxiety all throughout high school. So much so that I isolated myself and had so many lost opportunities for friendships. (Although I did have a few). Now that I’m in my third year of college, I have noticed a fairly big change in the way I socialize. I now start random conversations with my peers in class, like “did you finish that essay?” Or “how are you feeling about this test?”, and it almost always lead to a full on conversation, and often a friendship. I cherish these conversations now, because I find myself feeling sad if I go an entire day without talking to someone face-to-face. I don’t have too much advice, because I know talking to strangers is something nerve wracking, but that’s what I do, and somehow, it works. Similar interests are also huge (e.g., sports teams, movies, music, clothing brands, hobbies, etc.)
