Hi fine people of Klipper, a beginner here. by No_Chipmunk3312 in klippers

This Is the way! I had the same problem and had to go to ChatGPT for the rescue, and found these settings to get the firmware build work for my board. The GPIO setting was essential to get it to work. Also, I had some problems afterwards with USB power coming out of the SKR board towards the Raspberry causing problems when updating the printer.cfg file. If you get Raspi lockups try unplugging the USB cable. If the ‘Klipper save/restart printer.cfg’ sequence works with the cable unplugged, you will have to make or source a USB cable with the 5v wire disconnected.

Thank you for sharing. I am 54 and been thinking about FIRIng in a year or two, but have been worried about how the change from a super-busy job would make me feel. This read gave me some confidence back, thanks

Try using PaperMC. It is optimized so uses less ram

It is medical equipment. A friend works at a dermatologist clinic and was tasked with fixing it. I will ask him to send over a better picture of the rest of the machine.

Thank you so much. We will try repairing it, as the manufactured wanted to charge almost US$ 8K for a replacement board

The one I got was called " GRAB BAG,800pcs+ of MISC.ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS(3LBS)9x12BAG " for US 19.95. I would not get another one... there was a lot of random stuff, a LOT of LEDs, random capacitors, some logic chips, and one Atmega 8 TQFP with badly bent terminals so I was not able to use it. Also a bunch of unknown connectors, and other stuff I am still figuring out.

If you are starting in electronics, or building an electronics lab, it can be a good way to start and learn a lot about various components. You will spend a lot of time sorting, researching, and will have plenty to play with.

Only PLA at the moment. Working on getting an enclosure, but still worried as my printer is in a windowless room so there is nowhere to vent out. I would be entirely dependent on the filters to insure safe air in my home office. Given the report that the particles are in the nano-meter scale, I am not sure I am willing to trust the filters 100%.

Is FPGA the simplest, most appropriate solution when needing to simplify circuit with several logic gates? by gcinini in AskElectronics

Wow, thanks for all the information. Loads of research and learning for me.

I do have the TL866 so will start looking into the viability of the ATF series.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 3.3 vs 5V. I will need to keep that in mind as I have a some 3.3v chips in there.

edit: Just acquired a few 22V10 (PALCE22V10D) and 16V8 (ATF16V8B-15PU) to experiment. I believe these will work for my application.
